"ESSENCE OF SIGN LANGUAGE AROUND THE WORLD"

Language is complex and diverse in its fundamental nature. It is both a barrier and
a bridge of communication. Due to mixed dialect, every country's grammar, vocabulary,
and pattern gives us virtual instances of understanding and awareness. Language
allowed us to connect with other societies and break barriers to a good relationship.
However, it has been vital for people who don't know how to communicate using words.
Specific individuals are born deaf and mute, while others caught it from an accident. The
language we generally know is ineffective; thus, sign language is created for these special
people's linguistics.
Sign language refers to interpreted thoughts, ideas, and feelings through hand
gestures with an appropriate facial expression. Its essence grew massively over the years
as specialists in this field embraced a new world of hope for people with hearing and
speech disabilities. Countries created their own versions of sign language that is also
unique and diverse in any way. The meaning behind those hand gestures differs from
how countries elucidate them according to their individual interpretation, construction,
pattern, and grammar. Some hand signals in two different countries are the same in action
but differ in meaning. It is simply because the signs are interpreted in different ways and
perspectives. It is considering that communication is an essential skill that we should all
have. Yet, it's tragically frustrating for those who can't deliver their message effectively
and can't receive understanding the way they wanted to be understood. However, as sign
language has been continuously developing, the thick wall that prevents the disabled from
communicating is getting narrower and may eventually lead to a globally understood
linguistic concept. People started to learn and express themselves in this kind of language
to empathize with deaf and mute people around the globe. Even if we know that sign
language is remotely different from what we already know, it illustrates the risk we are
willing to take. Mistakes and failures will just be an understatement.
The essence of sign language around the globe can't be described in simple
words. It massively impacted our lives and perception of how communication works with
a worldwide scope. It is an eye-opener that doesn't seek what medium we use or how
accurate our grammar is. It reminds us that communication doesn't deal with verbatims
but communicators' drive to convey a message with mutual knowledge and
understanding. As long as we master the specific technicalities and differences of the
world of language, then we will have an ultimately healthier relationship and
communication every place.
