Evolution has a massive impact on our lives in different forms and helps shape the
contemporary world. Although, it mainly affects the environment, concerning the
development and improvement of our society from pre-existing conditions for the
successive generations. Evolution and Environmental Science are connected in some ways,
mainly how the ongoing change process deals with the usage of natural resources and
population density. For example, we destroy forests by cutting down trees to establish new
buildings or infrastructure for human needs. Hence, it causes environmental change such as
scarcity of water and resources, climate change, global warming, a decline in wildlife, etc.
Through evolution, we have to consider the importance of our environment as to how we
give significance to our progressive transformation. Furthermore, evolution makes the
organism eventually evolve into a new form of species due to the situation forcing it to adapt
to the new environment. Hence, evolution is the catalyst of environmental changes, and we
should be responsible for taking advantage of it for the better.
