shopping - “Can you tell me what the best item you
bought recently was?”
- Teacher let student answer
- T says:” Well, I believe everyone here loves
shopping, especially, we can buy the items
with the best price in sale seasons (Summer
sales, Black Friday…)

- Ss view this quick video: A Day of Online

Teaching 1 Discuss and 10 minutes Mr.Linh
Shopping with Kim (1 second)
sharing about
- After seeing the movie, T queries the class:
shopping online
"Do you frequently shop online?"
- "Do you prefer to shop in actual stores or
online? Why?"
- This inquiry will allow T to learn more about
the student's internet buying history.
- T will discuss how common online
purchasing has become.
- -T then asks Ss a different question: "Do you
prefer shopping online or going to physical
stores? Why?"
- T selects 2 to 4 Ss to respond.
- "What was your favorite part of the video and
why?" Kim mentioned: “If you go shopping
online, for example: Shopee platform will
give you lots of voucher, which means the
price will be better.”
- “Do you agree with this opinion? And why?
- What was your favorite part of the video and
why?”
- This question will help students have more
ideas to create their own speaking.
- T will have the students rewatch the movie and
record any new vocabulary, noun phrases, or
practical expressions. T will then explain the
meaning to the students:
- An "online marketplace" is a digital storefront
where a variety of sellers list their goods or
services for sale.
- "One-click purchase" refers to a function that
lets users purchase items with only one click,
saving them from having to input their
payment and shipping details again.
- "Cyber Monday" refers to the US holiday
Monday after Thanksgiving, which is a
popular day for online shopping with special
offers.
- "Online auctions" refers to an e-commerce
strategy in which goods are offered for sale to
the highest bidder over the internet.
- In idioms, "the early bird catches the worm"
refers to the first individual to benefit from a
deal or bargain.
- - The adage "A penny saved is a penny
earned" suggests it's a good idea to save
money whenever you can.
- - The adage "you get what you pay for"
suggests that if you purchase something at a
low price, it may not be of excellent quality.

- T splits the class into two teams and offers

each team a list of questions to discuss.
(Each team will be given a separate
selection of questions)
- - Team 1's theme is "The Benefits of Online
Shopping."
- - Team 2's theme is "The Drawbacks of
Online Shopping."
- T allows each participant 5 minutes to
prepare for their own subject.
- Two teams prepare before debating.
- The instructor will observe from a distance. T
may provide more details as required to aid
each team.

Task 1 Online Shopping - Pair up the students and ask them to sit 8 minutes Mr.Linh
Scenarios facing each other.

- - Explain that they will be simulating various

internet buying scenarios while utilizing
appropriate language and future grammar.
- Assign a scenario to each pair to act out,
such as "You and your companion are
looking for a trip online. Both of you have
found a product you like, but you aren't sure
if you should buy it just yet.
- Give the children 4-5 minutes to set up their
situation using appropriate vocabulary and
future language.
- After the allotted time for preparation is over,
have each team present their scenario to the
class.
- Encourage students to utilize the vocabulary
from the class to enhance the effectiveness
and naturalness of their scenario.

Teaching 2 Future perfect tense  - Review the present perfect 10 minutes Mr.Linh
tense with the class first, as the
future perfect is created similarly.
As an illustration:
 - "John has lived in Australia
since 2021" denotes the fact that
John moved to Australia in that
year.
 The auxiliary verb "have" (or
"has" for third-person singular
subjects like "John") is followed
by the past tense of the primary
verb ("lived" in this instance) to
produce the structure of the
present perfect tense.
 John continues to reside in this
nation today.
 - Based on its premise, the
Future perfect tense has a
similar connotation to the
Present perfect tense.
 - T states that the Future Perfect
tense is used to talk about future
actions that will be finished
before a certain time or to talk
about past actions that will have
been finished before other future
actions.
 For example: Jimmy will have
bought new shoes in the next
month.
 It suggests that an action (buying new
shoes) will be completed before a specific
point in the future (in the next month).
 You can understand likes this: Sylvia
plans to buy new shoes sometime in the
next month, and she expects to have
completed that action before the end of
the month.
- So, we have a structure of the future perfect
tense:
- Subject + Will + have + past participle verb.
- For another example:
- “I will have bought all the items in my cart
before the voucher is expired.
- " Buying all the things is a future action that
will be accomplished before another action,
the voucher expiring, is indicated by this
statement.
-  The future perfect tense emphasizes that
this action will be completely finished before
the voucher is expired, with no possibility of
continuing to buy items after the voucher is
expired. You can understand this as follows:
by the time the voucher is expired, the
speaker will have completed the action of
buying all the items in their cart.
- T assesses students' comprehension using
CCQ: What distinguishes the future perfect
tense from the basic future tense, exactly?
- How is the future perfect tense different from
the simple future tense?
- T asks the class to brainstorm a list of
common online shopping activities, for
instance: searching for products, adding items
to a cart, checking out…
- Then teacher asks students work in pairs to
create sentences using future perfect
grammar and the list of online shopping
activities.
- By going around the class, T can support her
Ss about their work or explain more about the
tense, as needed.
- After a few minutes, the pairs have had a
chance to practice, invite them to share their
sentences with the class.
- T will correct their sentence and explain the
reason if they have any mistake.

Task 2 Practice speaking - Set up a scenario where students must 8 minutes Mr.Linh
with a scenario organize a shopping excursion with a
companion using future perfect language
and internet shopping jargon.
- Hypothetical situation: "You and your
partner are about to go online to purchase
for a Christmas gift exchange. Discuss the
items you will have purchased at the
conclusion of the trip using future perfect
language and new internet shopping
terminology. Make them share with the class
their shopping agenda.

Teaching 3 Information - T affixes four discussion questions to the 15 minutes Mr.Linh

Exchange poster:
Classroom Do you think online shopping is better for
the environment than in-person
shopping?
Should internet businesses have to give
the same pricing as those found at
physical stores?
Do you believe that the collapse of
traditional retail businesses is a result of
internet shopping?
Should all internet shops have to provide
free delivery on every order?
- Each group must choose just one
discussion question, which they will take
turns posing.
- T allows Ss six minutes to do this workout.
- T circulates the room to help with group-by-
group facilitation.
- T selects a single individual from each of the
groupings.
- The representative from each group is
required to summarize the discussions held
within that group.
- T limits the reporting period for each
representative to three minutes.
- T makes a statement to the class as a whole
after each presenter.

Follow-up Future Perfect - Write the following exercise on the board: 4 minutes Mr.Linh
interviews "Consider some questions you would ask
someone about their future intentions. Put
them on paper and write them down.
- For the interview, students should interview
one another in pairs. While the other student
interrogates the pretend celebrity or public
figure, one student should assume the role
of a celebrity or public figure. The interview
should focus on the celebrity's goals for the
future and include several future perfect
tense questions.

- Reassemble the class after a brief break,

and ask a few volunteers to share their
interviewing experiences. When each
interview is displayed, ask the students to
identify which questions were in the future
perfect tense.

Homework - T requests that the activity in the workbook

on page... and develop your speaking skills
by writing a brief speech on the subject, "Is
looking for coupons when shopping online a
good habit?"
