Technical data Table 1

TSC1_E569EN_04.DOC Description 7
Maximum slag application Slag application is affected by the following factors:
• The laser power at the laser flatbed machine.
• The laser machining with or without nitrogen.
• Proportion of cut Cr steels.
Depending on the composition of these factors, slags of different
widths can be cut away (see following diagram).

operating it.
Warning ¾ Keep hands away from the processing line of the machine.

Risk of possible injury from cable damage!

Electric shock
¾ Do not bring the cable near the roller.
Warning

Damage to property due to high power-supply voltage!

Motor damage.
¾ Check the power supply voltage. The power-supply voltage
Caution must correspond to the information on the nameplate of the
machine.

The following pictograms are displayed on the pedestal for safe

use of the TSC 1:

Observe maximum slag thickness (see Fig. 52411, p. 8).

After each pallet has been cleaned, the roller bearings must be
relubricated with lubricating grease "G1".

If there is a loud rasping noise, the machine is overloaded. Switch

it off immediately!

The TSC 1 must not be inserted upside down or horizontally.

Tip
Frequent cleaning with little slag application protects the machine.

TSC1_E569EN_04.DOC Operation 15
Electromagnetic The appliance may switch off prematurely when affected by
interference electromagnetic interference. The appliance will resume operation
when the faults have been cleared.

Motor overload If the motor temperature is too high, the motor will switch off. The
protection red indicator light (LED) with the motor lights up.
¾ Allow the machine to run in idle until it has cooled down.

The machine can be operated again normally after it has cooled

down.

Turn the machine 5. To turn the machine after cleaning a beam, take hold of the
machine by the front handle.

Turn the machine Fig. 45455

6. With your free hand grab the turning handle and turn the
machine around its own axis.

Information
• Always turn the machine in alternating directions so that the
cable does not get twisted.
• For machines with a pallet changer, the scraps of slag must be
removed from the frame after cleaning.

What to do in case of Reasons why the machine could be overloaded:

excess load • Bent slats.
• Waste pieces after cutting.
• Overly wide slag application.
• Overly hard/tough slag.

The machine has an excess load coupling. In case of increased

load (e.g. blocked rollers) it makes a noise and starts to slip.

If the machine is jammed:

1. Briefly shake the machine by both handles until the jam is
cleared.
2. If the machine cannot be cleared, switch off the motor after 5 s
at the latest.
3. Remove machine from the slats.

18 Operation TSC1_E569EN_04.DOC
5. Maintenance

Risk of injury due to repair work not being carried out

properly!
Machine does not work properly.
Warning ¾ Repair work may only be carried out by a qualified technician.
