○ I appreciate you reaching out with your questions.
○ So, the answer to many of your questions is plain, staff and the employee union
contract. When new hires are brought in they are hired into specific hours and
those are the hours they always work unless they take a new position that has
different hours. If we wanted to change the hours of any of our locations then we
would either need to hire enough people into newly created positions to fill all the
vacancy needs of this new time frame for a location, which we can't afford, or re-
organize the entire department which can take as long as 9 months to fully
complete. This may sound like an exaggeration but since I have been trying to
figure out a better solution to these same questions over the past several years
and have not succeeded it's likely that this is it. We might have some ability to
alter the coffee shop schedule, out of curiosity, which one are you referring to?
