Blue Eagles outclass Green Archers

SAN LUIS, Aurora- Blue Eagles, behind astounding stop-and-destroy game plan of trio Prince Aaron
Bernal, Joshua Vagras and Richardson Gaerlan, punctured the ruthless Green Archers during the Sepak
Takraw Exhibition Game at Mayor Cesario A. Pimentel National High School, yesterday, 2-1.
Series of rallies opened the game and frenzied the gloomy morning sending both teams in a
highly competitive duel.
Team Captain Bernal orchestrated Blue Eagles’ momentum with his clinical stops setting Vargas
to execute his signature scissors spikes to leave the opposing team settle for a six-point deficit on the
opening frame, 11-5.
Lance Sampayan’s back-to-back bicycles took the handle bars for Green Archers paralyzing Blue
Eagles and forced a decision round, 5-11.
Vargas’ cold-blooded roll spike set the tone for Blue Eagles with Bernal and Gaerlan
safeguarding the wings.
While advantaged team kept their momentum, Green Archers could not keep up as their
services errors and miscommunications costed them the game, 11-8.
“Nilimitahan lang naming yung errors naming at sinunod lang naming yung stop-and-destroy na
game plan na lagging pinapaalala ni Coach Bim Napoles”, explained Bernal.
“Talagang naging maingat ‘yung kalaban namin, errors talaga ang pumatay sa amin”, stressed
Green Archers’ Coach Julius Bernardo.
Meanwhile, Green Team’s Jay Chandler Saura scored a technical knockout against Blue Team’s
Ranel Livioco during the Mosquito Weight Taekwondo Exhibition game on the same day.
Saura launched a devastating roundhouse kick that landed on Livioco’s frontal bone making the
referee stopped the game instantaneously as concussion protocol to prevent worse injuries.
“I hope he’s fine, ”, Saura wished well for his opponent and friend .
“Combat sports is really dangerous, we had to stop it early”, explained organizer Enrico Duaso.
These exhibition games helped players prepare for the up coming Palarong Pambansa.
