LAB PRACTICE
PONTIANAK
SCHOOL YEAR 2013-2014
A.Objective
-Students can use different solutions in order to test the Existence of certain nutrition.
-Students can learn to decide the types of food which contains the vitamins and
minerals which body needs
C.Experiment steps
Experiment 1(Amilum Test)
1.every food materials have to be crushed into powder, and placed into a container and
give labels for each container
2.give each food materials with lugol solutions for about 2-3 drops
3.note the colour exchange in the table.
Experiment 2(protein tests)
1.put each of the food materials in the basin of the dropping plate.label it with A to E
According to the food samples
2.drop it with the biuret solutions(NaOH and CuSO4).
3.note the colour changing in the table.
Experiment 3(sugar reducing test:glucose)
1.put each of the materials into the reaction tube, add some water.and label with A
Until E,according to each food container
2.drop each food samples with fehling A and fehling B about 4 drops
3.using the reaction tube tool each tube must be heat above the spirit burner.
4.note the colour changes in the table
Experiment 4( fat content test)
Apply the food samples to the swabs oil paper.note the changes happen.
