Dear Parents and Guardians,

Allow me to introduce myself! My name is Mr. Smith and I am Miss Atkinson’s student
teacher this semester! It has been an absolute pleasure getting to work with your students and
I have really enjoyed watching them bring this program to life.

Your student is needed for the Kindergarten music program entitled “What Do You See?” This
program will be held Wednesday, May 3rd 2023 at 2:55pm at Derby Hills Elementary School
Gym. For those who are unable to attend in person our program will be live streamed through
the Derby Hills Elementary Facebook page or the Derby Hills PTO Facebook page.

To implement a smooth flow of traffic of audience members, guests will need to enter
through the latchkey doors (Door #6) by the gym located in the southeast corner of the
building, closest to the large parking lot. There is no need to check in with Safe Visitor in the
office since concert attendees will only have access to the gym. However, if you would like to
check your student’s sibling out of class to come watch the program, then one adult must go
through the office and check in with Safe Visitor to gain access to the rest of the building.

Students participating in the program are asked to wear nice dress clothes. Suggested
attire includes dress slacks and a nice polo for boys; dress pants, skirts or dresses, and nice top
for girls. No jeans, short skirts, tank tops, or shirts with graphics/writing please. Students should
be sent to school in this attire the morning of the program.

Your students have been working very hard, and we look forward to sharing our music with
you. Thank you for supporting your child’s musical performance and the music program at
Derby Hills Elementary! We would love for family, friends, and students to attend our concert!
