What makes an individual a human person

- Because they possess and are conscious of their humanity, I think it qualifies them
as being human. We are composed of blood and flesh. When we compare
ourselves to other species, we too experience basic life stages, are creative, and
think extremely differently. I think that one aspect of being human is that we are
able to consider potential outcomes and make decisions on our own. We also
always accept responsibility for our actions. According to Locke, he thinks that
our sense of self depends more on consciousness than on matter because we are
aware of both the past and the future.

2. What sets the human person different from other creatures?

- We humans are much more clever than other creatures, hence I believe that is the
cause. While other creatures communicate with their minds and some of them
make actions for them to understand, humans talk with others by using their lips
to readily understand each other. Some humans also utilize hand gestures. In
comparison to other creatures, which depend on people to take care of them,
humans are more capable and responsible as they live. They are also able to take
care of themselves. Humans are more complex than other creatures, they can
stand up straight, they have spirituality, and they possess all the physical
characteristics that other creatures don't have.

3. What is the notion of the human person act to the teachings of Christian Morality?
- Humans are intelligent beings with independent will.

4. Does the human person possess dignity? If yes, why? If not, why?
- Yes, I do believe that human beings have dignity, and that dignity defines how
individuals should be treated and supports all human rights. The church holds that
since everyone was made in the image of God, they all possess dignity.

5. What are some concrete actions/ideologies/events/social issues that degrade the

dignity of the human person?
- The dignity of the human individual is diminished by specific behaviors like
harassment, aggression, and more. Some of these have a significant impact on a
person's dignity. They may ponder a lot about how they might lose their dignity as
a result of those.
