-Vertical and Horizontal Clearance

Dear Sir,

We are appointed as consultant for design of a two lane Flyover/ Overpass at Airport Road from Roby
Cement Gate to TSP Fertilizer Factory. Along the road there railway track which is used by different
stakeholder like TSP Fertilizer, Jamuna Oil etc. At some points the track alignment disovaly cross the
road. Reacquired Vertical clearance and Horizontal Clearance is required consider site condition.
As the Track is not used by passenger or goods like inter-zoon Train we request you to consider the
Vertical clearance as low as possible.

Hence we request you to confirm us the following.

1. Vertical clearance over the Rail (from top of rail track to bottom of Girder /Beam).
2. Horizontal clearance from Pile cap outer face to center of rail track.
3. Horizontal clearance from Vertical Pier face to center of Rail track.
- Horizontal clearance from Rail track for Parallel Road.

Dear Sir,
We are appointed as consultant from Chattogram City Corporation for Construction of a 4 Lane Road
Parallel to the rail track at Airport Road (From Roby cement to TSP Fertilizer). The existing parallel road
shall be widened to 4 lane road. In future the rail track will run through in center line and at left side of
the road new alignment.

As such following confirmation of rail track are necessary


1. Horizontal clearance form Center line to Highway edge line where no vertical barrier will be place.
2. Horizontal clearance from Center line of track to edge of Highway where maximum 305mm (1’-00”)
is lane barrier at edge or center line the road.
3. Horizontal clearance from Center line of track to edge of Highway where maximum 305mm to 900
mm is lane barrier at edge or center line the road.
