CLIENT PROFILE
Austin is an urban young married guy that lives with his husband Gee and dog Maia. He

loves music, concerts, hiking and being outside. Austin is looking to upgrade his main

room which is an integrated space (Dinning ,living space). His goal is to create a space

where he can entertain a couple friends (6-8), play his guitar, watch TV and listen to his

records. Cooks and host record dancing night are the main goal for this place.

For this reason the idea of an integrated open space is crucial for him

Austin loves Green and Blues which can

make a great combination when the colors
are in a intense value. The lighting will be
changed to bring more brightness for the
place. We will change the color of the wall to
lighter colors and the floor will be walnut
herringbone wood. Rich materials will be
used in the rug and accent chairs. Great
neutrals and geometric forms will the key for
the prints in the room.

Design Concept : The concept for this project is inspired by the Bauhaus school of design and Cubism, but with more color and natural
materials, creating a young, modern and inspiring environment. Open space with lighter colors that can reflect the natural light from
outside. One of the goals for this project is to create a space that is inviting for friends to have fun and make my client smile. Also,,, the color
palee will reflect the love for music festivals and all the nuances of art that Austin likes. We will use plants to embrace nature as well.

Colors And Materials Color Palee : Neutrals big surfaces (walls, floor, rug). Deep Blues, soft Green, Oranges (sofa, pillows, oomans,
pillow, art) The first step will be to change the floor for a lighter color. The bamboo engineer on a diagonal herringbone is the base for us to
expand the space and create a good acoustic for Austin. The second will be an update on the walls. The blue pop of color will be add on the
focal point , where is the fireplace and the rest of the walls will be white/ blueish undertone light glossy to absorb more light. Color is the
key for this project. The sectional with chaise is on a french blue, chairs on the dining are on Patina sand leather,the special chair will be in a
fun and geometric fabric, rug on soft o-white and natural touch. Explosion of soft colors and cubism inspires the media/storage/console
table to keep the records and record player. Coee table are 2 cube of wood to bring even more this concept of modernity and a great option
to extra seating.

Space Requirements: The client desires to create a room beer suited to entertaining, but also to be functional to play guitar, watch tv, and
listen to his vinyls. Also… Austin needs a space to a bar fixture to make drinks, keep wines and some glasses. The client has a couple books
to be stored and his vinyl collection as well. He really wants to open the space between the dining and living room to integrate the 2 rooms.
Functional Analysis The place has an existing fireplace and the left side of the room . Comfortable seating for 2 (but can fits 4 people)
Occasional seating for 6 flexing for 2 more people (dining chair or lounge chairs) Tv will be moved to the top of the fireplace to open more
space for siing Big coee table
