II. Reaction Section
Nurturing one’s own vocation is a very important mission of the Church,
knowing that most of the Christian Vocation starts inside the family. This decree of the
Second Vatican Council Optatam Totius gives emphasis to the development of priestly
vocation which the church needed for future ministry.
The call to Priesthood is very crucial for young men since it is a long process of
formation. This decree mandates every seminary to be a home wherein vocation is
fostered so as students or seminarian might be able to embrace a different kind of
lifestyle as young men. Seminarians must be carefully prepared in every doctrines of the
church as well as the trainings and knowledge which is necessary to minister his future
flock.
The strict yet meaningful discipline in the seminary is not only to secure the
community and the church but also for self-mastery, solid personal maturity, great
disposition of the mind of every seminarians in order to greatly aid the ordered and
fruitful activities in the Church.
