The nature versus nurture debate has implications for policy and practice in many
fields, including education, healthcare, and criminal justice. For example,
understanding the role of genetics in determining intelligence has implications for
educational policy, while understanding the impact of social and environmental
factors on mental health can inform healthcare policy. Moreover, the debate has
implications for the criminal justice system, with some arguing that genetic
