upper portion of compartment, as H2 is lite and accumulates on top, lower inlet ensures fresh air intake 2. Mechanical ventilation, motor and switch to be installed outside of the battery room (should be ex proof?) 3. Venting fan- no sparking, non metallic (hard reinforced plastic) 4. All openings should be weather proof 5. Illumination provision to be flame proof, switch to be outside of compartment 6. No naked light No smoking poster to be posted 7. Start ventilation prior entry warning to be posted 8. Batteries to be placed on dry, insulated and elevated platform 9. Emergency SB and Battery room should not be in one compartment to risk of arcing
