The 18th Girl Scout International e-Camp, 2021

Basic Information

■ Objective
The 18th Girl Scout International e-Camp, 2021 has the aim of providing Girl Scouts/Guides
and Scouts with opportunities:
- to enhance world citizenship by interacting with participants who have diverse backgrounds,
sharing international friendship.
- to create a safe and comfortable online environment for girls and young women struggling
with international exchanges due to movement restrictions.

■ Date
August 1 – August 20, 2021 (20 days and around the clock)

■ Platform
The 18th Girl Scout International e-Camp will take place online.

■ Theme
Apart and Together! – Making endless possibility through opportunity and challenge.

■ Language
The official language of the e-Camp is Korean and English.

■ Camp Emblem
◦ The emblem introduce The 18th Girl Scout International e-Camp,
Korea will be held online. Wi-Fi represent networks and
connection for international exchanges.
◦ The emblem also represent a meeting in virtual camping and The
DMZ symbol means delivering a message of peace through South
Korea, the only divided country.
■ Expected Participants
3,000 Girl Guides/Girl Scouts and non-member youths
※No limits to the number of overseas participants

■ Cost
The e-Camp is free of charge for all overseas participants.

■ Tentative Program Highlights

1. My page
- Self introduction, profile editing, attendance check
- Rewards by completing missions : Displaying virtual badges
- Online safety instruction

2. Member Organizations' virtual site


- Notice
- Upload individual and team missions
- Community activities
*Contingent Leader of MOs will run virtual site. (Operation manual will be distributed before the
e-camp starts.)

3. International exchange program


- 1:1 matching system : International exchange activities through 1:1 chatting after setting
matching conditions such as nationality, age, language, interest etc. / Selecting the time and
members is possible.

4. Mission programs
- Daily missions (about 2~3 missions)
- Rewards for missions : Virtual badges on My pages

5. Experience program
- MOs' exhibition and WAGGGS World centre video
- Girl Scouts of Korea History Experience Center video
- DMZ virtual experience
- BTS, analyzed by Big Data
6. Event
- Opening /Closing ceremony
- Celebration performances by Korean influencers
- Troop Friendship Night, Leader's Night
- Celebrated performance of MOs

20 July -We will distribute materials via e-mail for more information.
-Participants should sign up for membership individually in the e-camp
website. (www.girlscout.events)
- The contingent leader will be given an ID and Password in advance.
1 August Start of the e-Camp
