RIZAL’S EXILE

Introduction:

Rizal's arrival in Manila was sensational due to his popularity with the Filipinos and Spaniards.
He is a Filipino who has studied abroad, is intelligent, joined various organizations, and has
written a novel that has made a lot of noise in the Philippines.

The Spaniard was watching Rizal when he arrived in the Philippines. They were looking for
something to pierce him. He can't be arrested or charged about his novel because the way he
wrote it, it's indirect. Metaphoric, as if it symbolizes only the atrocities.

On July 3, 1892, Rizal established La Liga Filipina to promote reform for the Philippines, not
revolution. It was held at the house of Doroteo Ongjunco in Tondo, Manila, and the news
reached the Spaniards.

And four days after he established the La Liga Filipina, Rizal was arrested by the Spaniards in 4
cases.

EXPLANATION:

1. Nag sulat si Rizal ng libro at articles na anti-catholic and anti-friars

2. May kopya si rizal ng pamphlet na ang title ay pobres frailes, ito ay fictional stories na
tungkol sa Dominican friars na nag co-corrupt sa mga mahihirap at mga asawa ng mga
balo ng Pilipino.
3. Because of the writings of Rizal na Noli & El fili, syempre nabasa na ng mga kastila &
yung el fili ay dinedicate ni rizal sa Gomburza knowing the fact na ang gomburza ay sikat
na sikat noon sa kastila dahil nga sila ay mga paring filipino na pinaghinalaan na nag
traydor sa Spanish government. So nalaman ng kastila na ang el fili ay inspired by
gomburza. Naging inspirasyon ni Rizal ang gomburza para isulat ang nobelang ito.
4. Cinritisize daw ni rizal ang religion at ang simbahang katolika and according to rizal ang
gusto daw ng mga Spaniards ay ilayo ng relihiyon ang kultura ng mga Pilipino sa Pilipino.
So ang aim daw ng religion ay tanggalin ang filipino culture.

These are the 4 reasons/cases why Rizal was exiled to Dapitan.
