ABOUT THE INSTITUTE

Bangalore Institute of Technology, popularly known as BIT, is a premier Engineering College in

Karnataka. The Institute was started in the year 1979 by Rajya Vokkaligara Sangha (RVS), which
manages many other educational and research institutes like Medical, Dental, Pharmacy and Law
colleges. BIT is recognized by AICTE, New Delhi and accredited by NBA and NAAC with A+ Grade. The
Institute has well established modern infrastructural facilities with highly quali ied and experienced
faculty members. The Institute is af iliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi.
The Institute offers 13 under graduate and 6 post graduate programs, besides having research and
development centers in all branches.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Materials have become inevitable part of human life. Every segment of our daily life is in luenced
by materials. Development and advancement of the civilization is intimately connected to usage of
materials from time to time. Initially man was aware of very few materials such as wood, stone, clay and
very few metals. Today, in the present world, we have thousands of materials which include metals,
alloys, plastics, glasses, ibers, polymers, composite materials, nano materials etc. Exhaustive research
on synthesis, characterization and applications of newer materials is going on across the globe.

AMEMA-2023 aims to provide common platform to all the scientists, academicians research
scholars and professionals to exchange their experiences and share research ideas in the ield of
advanced materials and their applicability in engineering and technology. This conference is a premier
interdisciplinary platform to present and discuss authentic and innovative ideas, trends and concerns as
well as challenges encountered in the journey of research and case studies. The conference includes key
note address, invited talks by eminent persons, oral presentation and poster presentation by
participants.
 ABOUT THE DEPARTMENTS
1. Department of Civil Engineering
The department of Civil Engineering was established to train
and develop Civil Engineering Professionals who will be
sensitive and serve for the betterment of the society. The Civil
Engineering department is one of the irst departments
established by the college during 1979. The department is
doing its best with the support of competent faculty and well
equipped laboratories to develop quality civil engineering
professionals. The department is also offering M.Tech
Program in Structural Engineering. The department
is recognized as Research Centre by Visvesvaraya
Technological University and offers M.Sc. Engineering (by
Research) and Ph.D. Programs.
2. Department of Mechanical Engineering
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, started in 1979
to impart high quality mechanical and technical skills to the
blooming engineers. The Department provides a blend of
theoretical and practical knowledge that match well with the
requirements of the industry. The department is equipped
with the state of the art infrastructure to provide experiential
learning. The department has well established Research
Center.
3. Department of IEM
The Department of Industrial Engineering and Management
was established in the year 1986. Industrial Engineering is
concerned with the design, improvement and installation of
integrated system of men, material and equipment. The
department offers Under-Graduate programme and
research. It has excellent infrastructure facilities such as
Metrology and Measurements Lab, Simulation Lab, Work
Study and Ergonomics Lab and Quality Engineering Lab. The
department research center has ongoing VGST project.
4. Department of MBA
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme of
Visvesvaraya Technological University has carved a niche in
management education in the country. MBA is a two years full
time post graduate programme with four semesters. The
programme curriculum is designed to provide graduates
with life skills and competencies effectively transforming
them into a dynamic managerial professional. The
programme moulds the overall personality of graduates
enabling them to adapt to the evolving trends of the business
eco system. The department currently has an intake of 60
students.
The department offer three major specializations namely,
Finance, Human Resource and Marketing. The department
also offers Ph.D program in Management.
5. Department of Physics
The Department of Physics started in the year 1979. It is
always in the forefront in conducting important events such
as World Year of Physics, Detection of Gravitational Waves at
CERN, Shock Waves, Lasers and NLO, PEE - 100 years,
Quantum Computation etc. Several workshops / seminars
are arranged by the department and talks were delivered by
eminent speakers from prestigious organizations. The
department has well established Research Center with
ongoing VGST research project.
6. Department of Chemistry
The Department of Engineering Chemistry came into
existence along with the establishment of the institution in
the year 1979. A well-established research centre af iliated to
VTU is attached to the department. The department has well
experienced faculties who is pro icient in teaching and
research. The active area of research are heterogeneous
catalysis, adsorption and nano materials etc. Around 10
research projects funded by leading funding agencies have
been executed with publication of more than 100 papers in
peer reviewed, reputed international journals and 5 book
chapters.
7. Department of Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics handles Engineering
Mathematics for both UG and PG programs. In accordance
with Vision and Mission of the Institute and the Department,
faculty members are actively engaged in research in the areas
of Pure and Applied Mathematics striving to achieve
excellence in research and teaching. To keep in pace with
ever-growing technological developments in the relevant
ields, the department organizes several FDPs and seminars.

ABOUT THE PARTICIPATION
This conference is open to academicians, researchers,
industry personnel and professionals who are all working in
the ield of materials, material science and logistics. The
participants need to register for the conference using the link
provided in the website. The selected papers are allowed for
oral presentation. Poster presentation with attractive prizes
is also a part of the conference. At least one author from the
selected paper should register for the conference and present
their work. Certi icates will be given for registered
participants only. Authors are requested to submit an
abstract in the given format.
Prospective authors are invited to submit their full length un-
published signi icant research work to the AMEMA-2023.
The selected papers will be published in UGC care journal.
