What are some of the best strategies you use to prepare students for exams (AP
or otherwise)?

I like to give review study guides that the students have to research the chapter or unit to
find the answers- like reverse sketch notes.

Kahoot - I have found this to be easy and understandable for students to review and
retain

questions/study guides before test date, timelines (history), Thesis practice

As a teacher, what resources do you use/where do you go for lesson plans,

research, strategies, new activities, etc.?

5 responses

My online teacher e-books, History.com (it's used in my e-book), Britannica.com. I also

work with other members of my department to see lessons and activities they use and
see if they fit into my lesson plans. This year I was introduced to Kahoot which was very
nice to use.

AP Classroom

Depending on the subject matter; I like to use Teacher pay teachers for creative
assignments and inspiration. I also like to use iCivics for social studies and colleagues
for different techniques.

start with a websearch, tiktok/Instagram, youtube, Teachers Pay Teachers,

Great visuals

I enjoyed reading about the AP Fun Facts. I was also surprised to hear about the exams
becoming digital.

Thanks for all the info

I thought the slides were informative and easy to follow while making the subject matter
clear for someone who has never participate in AP exams.

Asking kids who they like to follow/review with has been helpful as well! They tend to
find the newest teacher/content creators within a subject area. It will be interesting how
AI will evolve on the teacher level in terms of creating lesson plans, researching topics
and strategies, etc.

I really appreciate the part of "Strategies for Students"
