The document discusses Japanese verbs and how to conjugate verbs into their polite or "masu" form. It explains that for "yodan" verbs, which end in a consonant, the verb stem changes to the "Base 2" form before adding the "masu" ending. A table shows example yodan verbs and their plain, base 2, and polite forms. It then provides example sentences from Lesson 1 converted to the polite form by changing the verbs to their base 2 form and adding "masu".
