Culture change is the toughest part of any organization
To convince them to move from Waterfall to agile, We can always see our developers struggling with the change requests as it is hard to implement changes in later stages of waterfall. If we have continuous and initial feedback from customer, then there won’t be any rework to be done as customer and developer are in sync. Frequent release will make the customer feel happy as he can see the product evolving. Development will be fast as there Is continuous feedback and most important features are delivered at the beginning. Coming to Cost, agile will be very cheaper and faster compared to waterfall. The reason being there is very less rework need because of the early feedback from customer. There is a chance of crossing the market window in waterfall as the delivery is very slow which doesn’t happen in agile as the delivery is very fast. There is no proper prediction of work delivery in waterfall. In Waterfall the resources are not optimally utilized, whereas in agile teams are more collaborative, self-organized. Risk curve raises every day in waterfall. Business can’t realize profit or market advantage until the project is completely developed and tested. Which is not the case in Agile.
