Camera Setup
The camera system consists of a 12 Vdc camera mod-
ule with a heater capable of operating in -40 - 85° C
(-40 - 185° F) temperatures, as well as a 177.8 mm
(7 in) color LCD monitor. This section describes basic
monitor operation, navigation and standard setup pro-
cedures.
Keyboard Operation

The keyboard on the monitor consists of eight buttons
that facilitate navigation through the various setup
menus. The following is a description of each button
and its function.
1. Camera Selection
Press the camera selection button once. The camera
LED will blink, indicating the manual camera override is
active. Use the minus (6) and plus (7) buttons to select
the camera. You can select a different camera by
switching off this function by pressing the plus and mi-
nus buttons.

2. Auto (R)LCD Backlight Control/Day/Night Settings
Press this button to switch between the ABC mode, the
(R)LCD backlight day and the (R)LCD backlight night
settings. The ABC mode controls the backlight settings
between the minimum settings (which are adjustable,
see the service menu) and 100%, depending on the
amount of available ambient light. The day and night
modes' brightness settings can be manually adjusted
by pressing the minus (6) or plus (7) buttons (the set-
tings will be saved). This setting is not camera specific
and will therefore function on all cameras.
3. Contrast
Press the contrast button once to enter the contrast ad-
justment mode. Use the minus (6) and plus (7) buttons
to select the image contrast.
4. Brightness
Press the brightness button once to enter the bright-
ness adjustment mode. Use the minus (6) and plus (7)
buttons to select the image brightness.

Press the contrast button (3) and the brightness button
(4) at the same time to enter the saturation adjustment
mode. Use the minus (6) and plus (7) buttons to select
the image saturation.
NOTE
The following buttons are used to scroll through the
various setup menus.
5. Option
Press the option button to return to the previous menu.
6. Selection/Setting -
Press the selection/setting - button to go to the next
menu option.
7. Selection/Setting +
Press the selection/setting + button to go to the previ-
ous menu option.
8. Enter
Press the enter button to select or activate the high-
lighted option.

NOTE
All user settings will be lost when the factory defaults
are reset.

Default Settings
This option under the system setting menu opens the
default settings menu. If the restore defaults option is
selected, the factory settings will be reset. The restore
defaults option can be used to get the service techni-
cian back to a known state. Refer to Figure 22808.
