1- In this study, the presence of viruses HBV HHV-5 and HHV1,2 was evaluated as an infertility

factor in men? While the presence of forename HBV HHV-5 and HHV1,2 may be considered
the transmission of the infectious viruses to offspring?

2-The infertility may cause by one of the couple, male/female. It has been shown the following
factors cause infertility in women, which was not evaluated in this study? Therefore, detection of
forename HBV,HHV-5 HHV-1,2 alone in men cannot be considered the only factor of
infertility?

3- Multifactor cause infertility In women. Infertility is commonly caused by problems with

ovulation (the monthly release of an egg from the ovaries). Ovulation problems can be a result of
polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), thyroid problems – both an overactive thyroid gland and
an underactive thyroid gland can prevent ovulation and premature ovarian failure – where the
ovaries stop working before the age of 40

4- Several other factors result in infertility in female include post-infectious tubal damage,
endometriosis, Pelvic inflammatory disease (the most common cause of tubal damage) and
congenital/acquired uterine anomalies. Congenital (septate uterus) and acquired (myomas and
synechiae) diseases of the uterus may lead to infertility, pregnancy loss, and other obstetric
complications. Multifactorial mechanism involving immunologic, genetic, and environmental
factors result in infertility in female.

5- Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), herpes simplex virus (HSV) and human herpesvirus
(HHV) increase infertility rates whilst human papillomavirus (HPV), cytomegalovirus (CMV),
and hepatitis B and C virus (HBV, HCV) infections mostly lead to higher abortion and
miscarriage rates (A). While such a virus’s detection was not evaluated in fertile and infertile
women?

A- M Farsimadan & M Motamedifar (2021) The effects of human immunodeficiency virus,

human papillomavirus, herpes simplex virus-1 and -2, human herpesvirus-6 and -8,
cytomegalovirus, and hepatitis B and C virus on female fertility and pregnancy, British Journal
of Biomedical Science, 78:1, 1-11, DOI: 10.1080/09674845.2020.1803540

Conclusion: Based on the above-mentioned reasons, the title of manuscript should be changed to
“frequency of HHV-1&2 , HHV-5 and HBV in Semen in men by Multiplex PCR method”

Then such study can be evaluated for publication
