Star Bear Pattern 🤎🧸

Materials:

You can use any yarn and

depending on that any hook

size. This is some of the items

that I used:

• Himalaya dolphin baby:


- Colour A - the darker colour


- Colour B - the lighter colour


- White

• Strip of acrylic black yarn

(you can use the same type

you are using already but I

used acrylic)

• 4.5mm hook

• 12mm safety eyes


• Scissors & a sewing needle


• Ultra bre ll cushion insert

Abbreviations:

sc - single crochet

inc - increase

dec - decrease

mr - magic ring

(*) - number inside bracket


should be how many numbers


of stitches you have at the end


of the row

slst - slip stitch

FO - fasten o

st/sts - stitch/stitches

ch - chain

hdc - half double crochet

Step 1:

Legs: (make 2)

*colour B

R1: 6 sc in mr (6)

R2: inc all around (12)


R3-8: sc all around (12)


Slst in next st & repeat steps to

make another leg, we will join the

legs for the body

Step 2:

Body:

*continuing with colour B


R9: sc in other leg, place st

marker, continue to sc around

until you reach your st marker


R10-17: sc all around


R18: (4sc, dec) repeat


*start stu ng

R19: (3sc, dec) repeat


R20: (2sc, dec) repeat


*continue stu ng

Slst in next st

*sew a star like I did with colour A


Step 3:

Arms: (make 2)

*with colour A

R1: 6sc in mr (6)


R2: (1sc, inc) (9)


R3-5: sc all around (9)

R6: (1sc, dec) (6)

R7-8: sc all around (6)

*sow arms on body without stu ng (you can lightly stu with tail ends)

*you can sew on a strip of the lighter yarn over the arm to make it look like it’s
wearing a onesie (I didn’t do this because I didn’t have enough yarn

Step 4:
Head:

*with colour A

R1: 6sc in mr (6)

R2: inc all around (12)

R3: (1sc,inc) repeat (18)

R4: (2sc, inc) repeat (24)

R5: (3sc, inc) repeat (30)

R6-10: sc all around (30)

*place safety eyes between rows


6 & 7, approximately 7 to 8 sts

R11: (3sc, dec)repeat (24)

*start stu ng

R12: (2sc, dec) repeat (18)

R13: (1sc, dec) (12)

*continue stu ng if needed

R14: dec all around (6)

*sew shut and sow on head


Step 5:

*with colour A

Ears: (make 2)

R1: 5sc in mr (5)


R2: inc all around (10)


R3-4: sc all around (10)


*do not sew on top of the

head yet

Step 6:

Nose:

*with white

R1: 6sc in mr (6)

R2: inc all around (12)

R3: sc all around (12)

Slst in next st

*sew a nose like in the picture

*sew nose onto the head in


between the eyes without stu ng


(you can lightly stu with tail ends)

Step 7:

Beanie:

*in colour B

R1: 6sc in mr (6)


R2: inc all around (12)


R3: (1sc, inc) repeat (18)


R4: 2sc, ch 9, skip 2, 6 sc, ch 9,

skip 2, 6 sc (32)

R5: sc all around in each st (32)


Slst in next st

Weave in ends for both tails

including the one from the mr


*sew ears on head measuring

where the beanie hole are

Step 8:

Bear Ears For Beanie:


*make 2 using colour B


R1: 3sc in mr

R2: turn, ch 1, sc in 3 of the sts


slst in next st and sew both

ears on beanie

*sew a star with colour A


*place the beanie on the head

and sew the ears in place

where the holes are

accordingly without stu ng

(you can lightly stu with tail

ends
