 The horse had mail coverings on Head, chest and tail. The curved saddle prevalent at that time.

 We reconstructed Gupta era Cuirass and mail on top of Varabana/kanchuka, additional with the Cape and
the interesting knot.
Since the image is of KumaraGupta of later Gupta dynasty, he inherits much of Gupta heritage.
For reference we have sculptures and paintings from Ajanta.

 Another we did for DamodarGupta of later Gupta dynasty, he is wearing the exact replica of scale armour
from Mathura, prevalent during those times, the lower half seems to be leather pteurges. Here's one on

 Last we did of Mahasenagupta of later Gupta dynasty, who led his armies across length and breadth of
India, wearing the Gupta heavy cavalry armour.

We did reconstruction of Royal dress, that was mostly imported from Iran, named Stavaraka, embroided
in golden thread.

Here you can see Shashanka of Gauda wearing one showcasing his position of power. But it is a mix of
Varabana and Stavaraka.
