    Visualization of the bands

    q Place the membrane into the clearing solution for 5-10 min.

    q Drain off excess solution and then place the membrane into a
    drying oven at 50-60C.

    q Once the background is completely transparent, the cleared stripe


    can be scanned on an optical densitometer for quantification.
