    Hamlet's world and the real world share some similarities. Both societies can be corrupt and morally depraved. However, the real world differs in that it views men and women as equal, unlike Hamlet's world which was patriarchal and saw women as weak and subordinate to men. While some of Hamlet's reactions to the daily struggles of his life may still apply today, society has progressed to be more equal and just compared to the context of Hamlet's world.
