Welcome to APOCALYPSE'23 – UNLEASHING THE ECLECTIC ERA

We congratulate each one of you present here for making it to the premises of Hansraj College
after successfully clearing the preliminary round of Apocalypse’23. We know, you can’t wait to
see what we have in store for the final round.

Shayon: Wait..wait.. But before we begin, won’t you be eager to know much about your hosts
for the day.. Ah! Today, I, Shayon & I Krishna, will be your host for this lustrous event..

** (Change as per situation) We welcome our respectable principal Dr. Rama, our
esteemed Vice Principal and Convenor, Dr. Alka and Ms. Ritika, to join us today on this
special occasion.

S.P.A.R.C. Hansraj is an ambition shouldered by a group of zealous students. We aim to nurture

students into academically and professionally sound individuals by “Shaping Personalities And
Realizing Careers”

Krishna: Kaboom… “Apocalypse” is here.. People running hither thither, looking to save their
lives and finding a way out of the catastrophe with their scarce resources.

Shayon: (Read as News Headlines) “Market Crash” , “Global Economy headed towards a
recession”, “No way out to recover from the economic depression”
Investors suffering huge losses as global markets witness a sharp fall with economies all over
the globe, heading towards recession.. No way out to recover from this “Tragedy”

Krishna: But there’s one more “Apocalypse” which has taken the nation by a storm… Do you
know about it, Shayon?

Shayon: Another.. (Thinking) What could it be? (Looking perplexed)

(Asks audience) Hey guys.. Do you have any idea about what Krishna is talking about? Is there
any other “Apocalypse” which I am not aware about.. Couldn’t hear you (Pretend to listen)
Krishna: Shayon might be still wondering about it.. But, let me tell you; it’s none other than the
Annual Flagship Event of S.P.A.R.C. Hansraj - APOCALYPSE..

We are back with Apocalypse,an exceptional competition that challenges one's intelligence,
perseverance, and strategic thinking while also making learning fun. The competition serves as
a genuine test of knowledge, examining business acumen, trading and negotiating, and
analytical skills. The games are designed to intrigue and entertain, with brain teasers and clues
woven into finance and coherence.

Shayon: Congratulations on making it to the Final Round of Connecting The Dots: Net-Worthing
with Sharks. In this journey, be the master of your destiny as a passionate entrepreneur by not
letting any stone be unturned. Analyze every step of your pathway to glory, but this path is
infused with landmines of challenges. With stakes as high as they can be, you need to tread
your path with caution and innovative thinking.

Krishna: Prepare to encounter a game of strategy, intuition, and resourcefulness that will
challenge your intellect, rationale, and innovation, while simultaneously energizing you with
enthusiasm and eagerness to showcase your networking abilities, business planning acumen,
and market analysis competence.

General Guidelines

Shayon: Before commencing with the first round, we want you to have a look at the General
Guidelines
1. Each team has been provided with a Total Corpus of Rs. 45,00,00,000.
2. Read the documents carefully for a better understanding of each round.
3. Separate reading time will be provided for each respective round.
4. Use of the internet, phone, or any other digital medium is strictly prohibited during the
game length. Failure to adhere to this will lead to an immediate disqualification.
5. The team having the highest corpus at the end of the game will be declared as the
winner.
6. Use of Simple Calculators is allowed.
In case of any queries, kindly reach out to your assigned moderator. And, remember
“DECISION OF THE ORGANIZERS IS FINAL AND BINDING”

Round 1.1 (Timing The Impression)

Krishna: Hey Shayon! Are you on Linkedin?

Shayon: Yes Krishna! I just love it.. You get to connect with the right set of people
Krishna: True.. So, what do you think? How good are you at networking?
Shayon: 2K Connections and counting.. Note that!
Krishna: Good going brother.. But! Connecting on LinkedIn is one thing..Why not take a step
further by initiating the first round of networking - Timing The Impression and truly connecting
with one another. This round brings you a quirky and fun format to introduce yourself before you
interact with the other participants in the subsequent rounds of the game.

Shayon: You all might be aware that “First impression is the last impression”. So, gear up for a
quirky introduction and get ready to witness some hilarious intros too as listening to others might
get you to the top of the table!

Round 1.2 (The Initial Acquisition)

Shayon:The timeless words of the renowned philosopher Socrates, "know thyself," remain
highly pertinent and integral to the business world. One might ask, how is this relevant? Any
guesses?

Krishna: The answer lies in the SWOT analysis, where these well-known words are manifested.

We proceed onto Round 1.2: The Initial Acquisition where you’ll be provided with the SWOT
analysis of 3 industries and relevant information of companies in those industries. On that basis,
you will have to make your decision and select the companies best suited to you as per a
thorough analysis.

Shayon: To triumph in the business world, you must know which company is best for you. Your
decision should be shaped in such a way that the company you select can give you a
competitive push in further rounds. So let’s see “Kisme Kitna Hai Dum”

Round 2 (Resource Roulette)

Shayon: Mere paas buildinge hai, bangla hai, gaari hai, bank balance hai! Kya hai tumhare
paas?
Krishna: Mere paas S.P.A.R.C. Resources hai!
Shayon: Wait..wait.. What is this twist?
Krishna: Want to know more? (To audience)

Shayon: A strong foundation is a prerequisite for constructing great architectural marvels. The
foundation of your successful ventures has been laid in the previous rounds and in round 2 -
Resource Roulette, you must now buy a combination of the resources to construct a robust
company that will help you gain a competitive edge in the future.
 Round 3.1 (Synergy Sweepstakes)

Krishna: Shayon.. Who do you think will take today’s trophy?

Shayon: Certainly me!
Krishna: What?
Shayon: Didn’t I buy Adani the previous week and booked a humungous profit thereafter?
Krishna: Well! I was talking about today’s deal.
Shayon: Sad! I couldn’t secure any company for me due to a low corpus.
Krishna: Why be sad, then? The hallmark of a true entrepreneur lies in the way he/she
interacts with people to negotiate in order to secure a better deal.
Shayon: The next round will involve creating synergy and if you think, you’ll emerge as the
table toppers, mind you! This round is no child’s play as you’ll witness heated negotiations with
fellow competitors through a bidding process.
Krishna: Let’s see who plays a clean sweep & who gets back to the pavillion in the much
awaited Round 3.1 - Synergy Sweepstakes.

Round 3.2 (The Second Chance)

Krishna: How did your exams go, Shayon?

Shayon: … (Thinking) Aah..aah.. Were you saying something?
Krishna: Ya.. I was asking (Repeat 1st line)
Shayon: As good as Rahul Gandhi’s political career.. Aah! Had I studied well, I would have
topped the class just like (Top team’s name).. Can’t we get another chance?
Krishna: Yes, you can!
Shayon: Is it? Let me know about it.. I’ll be grateful to you
Krishna: Aa.aa.. Not for you but for our Teams over here!
Shayon: Damn!
Krishna: Still didn’t get a company of your choice? No worries, here is your
last chance to revive your sinking boat; through “NEGOTIATION”.
Shayon: Time to put your convincing skills to test and see who makes it through Round 3.2 -
The Second Chance

Round 4 (Glitch In The Matrix)

Shayon: Hey Krishna! Do you know I am fast with numbers?

Krishna: Is it? If that is so, tell me what’s 695*25?

Krishna: Poor chap! That wasn’t even close
Shayon: But it was fast, wasn't it?
Krishna: (Coughing in abruptly) That was a poor joke! But, no worries.. As we are aware of an
old saying that “numbers don't lie”, we bring to you Round 4 - Glitch In The Matrix, which will
bring forward amongst you a challenge with numbers..
Shayon: Do not go with the name, teams! It will surely be a “glitch-free” round and we will see
how well you do with mathematics and finance.. Are u guys ready for it? Wishing you a
glitch-free journey ahead!

Round 5 (Net Worth With Sharks)

Krishna: Hey Shayon! What’s your take on Shark Tank Season 2?

Shayon: “Bilkul bakwas hai yeh, band kar do ise”

Krishna: But, what do you think S.P.A.R.C. Tank is?

Shayon: “Yeh meri expertise nahi hai, so I’m out”

Krishna: So, it’s time that we unravel the final round of the event. The sharks are making waves
in the world of business. It is time to take a deep dive in investments. It is time for the most
awaited, Round 5 of Connecting The Dots, SPARC TANK.

Shayon: So, let’s begin with S.P.A.R.C. Tank, a platform to discover fresh possibilities and
strategically invest, whether you're a seasoned investor or a budding entrepreneur. Put your
best foot forward in the last leap towards victory with the motto -: Create, Strive & Conquer!
