inside. Subsequently, this increases the condensation potential on the
new windows. By performing better than the previous windows, they
have become more vulnerable to condensation. The real explanation is
often a disturbed balance between the rates of ventilation and moisture
generation, and the lack of recognition of the interaction between
building systems.

Rain Penetration
Rain penetration can be controlled by applying the rain screen
principle to the interface of glazing-sash and sash-frame components.

Strength and Durability

Glass is a fragile material which falls short when tension is
applied. Even though its potential tensile strength is 6900 MPa, failure
occurs at stresses far below this value because of surface imperfections;
some of these are inborn to the manufacturing process of the glass and
some are mechanically induced. In order to provide strength and
resistance to breakage, and ensure that glass that breaks does not fallout
of its frame, fully tempered, heat-strengthened, wired and laminated
glass have been developed.

Fully tempered glass is a kind of glass where both surfaces are in

compression and the core is in tension. The glass is strengthened by
heating it to near its softening point, then chilling it rapidly. The
surfaces cool and contract while the interior of the glass is still warm.
When the interior shrinks, the surfaces are rigid and are compressed by
the contraction of the interior. Thus any tension stress imposed on the Figure 8. Window-wall interface: what and how to join together.

POINT-FIXED STRUCTURAL GLASS SYSTEM freedom of design
Is a refined and technologically Innovative structural glazing system which offer total freedom of design by exploiting the
simplicity of the 3-dimensional format using simple components to create a minimalist solution to glass facade.

GLASS FIN
The glass facade panels are suspended from a beam or slab by means
of concealed clamps. Lateral support is provided by tempered glass
fins, which are independently clamped to the building structure. For
high-span façade, the fins are installed in sections, held together by
stainless steel sliced joints.

TRUSS
S E RUT CUR T
These offer many design possibilities, and can be selected from a wide range of sizes
and shape, made of stainless or coated steel, to blend with other internal or external
features.

08
CABLE
The cable system is formed from two single stainless steel cable, tied to the building using
turnbuckles and fork-ends. The system maintain the lateral support under wind load. The integrity
and stability of the glazed panels are ensured by the cable, arranged horizontally and vertically,
fixed to the structure.

TENSION ROD
The Tension Structure provide a subtle solution whose physical presence
minimize all obstruction visually. The Structure can be installed vertically
and horizontally, accentuating the feeling of lightness of the structure and
allow a Panoramic view.
