We understand that choosing a school for your child is one of the most
crucial, life-changing decisions you will make. Here are a few reasons why

O
we could be the right partner on your child’s educational journey.
Apart from the age-appropriate education, we also compliment your

F
child’s learning with skills critical for the 21st century – technological skills,

From the Principal’s Desk

Dear Students

“Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardour and attended
to with diligence.” - Abigail Adams
Learning has changed a lot in the past few years, as new technologies have
emerged and online education has become more developed and accessible. These
changes point a way towards a “diverse learning ecosystem” where learning adapts
to each child instead of each child trying to adapt to school. Our TCO1 model of

NE
teaching – learning for you involves all the aspects of future learning. Learning will
no longer be defined by place and time for you. Our Educators have personalized
learning approaches for you and ensure universal access to world class school

O
education by making a wide variety of resources available for you . You will learn to
be more responsive in the classroom which will be self-organised. You will become
part of a new wave of social innovation in cross-cultural classrooms where the

F
world has become very small.
We aim at your holistic development by equipping you with the key 21st century
O
skills. These skills are intended to help you keep up with the lightning-pace of
today’s modern markets. Each skill is unique in how it helps you, but they all have
S
one quality in common, they’re essential in the age of the Internet. These 21st
Century skills are the following twelve abilities that you need to succeed in your
AS

careers during the Information Age - Critical thinking, Creativity, Collaboration,

Communication, Information literacy, Media literacy, Technology literacy, Flexibility,
Leadership, Initiative, Productivity and Social skills.
CL

Our Annual Planner and Structured curriculum is designed to enhance all these
skills in you. So be ready to master these competencies.
I wish you all a healthy and fruitful year ahead!!

Message from Academic Head’s

“Everyone is genius”

Yes, That is the belief of TheClassOfOne. Our teaching focuses on how to think
rather than - What to think? The landscape of education is transforming along with
us. The Paradigm shift in technology with respect to unprecedented changes will
potentially reshape the future of the Indian education system with accelerated
adoption of digital technology.
It’s an opportunity to establish Parent-Teacher collaboration,we call it true
partnership. Where parents and teachers both share responsibility to help their

NE
children learn and meet educational goals. I see a great change in my relationship
as a parent with my children during pandemic and home-schooling. I see my
children becoming more independent, more aware about self and more expressive,
cause we are spending more time together.

O
TheClassOfOne is one platform that will not only strengthen the parent-child bond
or empower parents with meaningful information related to their child’s education
but will also allow kids to pursue their passion be it sports, music, arts or any other
form of creativity.

F
We prefer knowledge over grades in our school and this approach will lay the
O
foundation for 21st century skills, identified by CBSE as an integral part of a child's
early education. With this ever-growing and ever-changing world without
S
boundaries, empowering our students with these skills is challenging, however we
are committed to accomplish these skills by adopting several innovative methods
AS

and practices for holistic development of children.

All these 21st century skills are imparted by the Social Emotional Learning process
in our school. This coalition of SEL and 21st century skills are the most essential
ingredient of early education, which we are proud to teach in our school. The
CL

unexamined life is not worth living. Reflection is a vital element of an examined life.
For students, reflecting on situations and their own thoughts and feelings can lead
to meaningful connections, greater self-awareness, and stronger decision-making
skills. Our mornings start with these beautiful overwhelming activities to keep up the
E

spirit all day.

We consider this roadmap and journey of each academic year as a learning
TH

marathon- not the race, where each milestone must be accomplished with child’s
own pace. Let’s join hands together to contribute in learning and well-being of our
children. Let’s explore teaching that transform in TheClassOfOne.

Academic Head

Song Of The Youth

NE
O
As a young citizen of India, armed with technology, knowledge and love for my

F
nation, I realize, small aims are a crime.
I will work and sweat for a great vision, the vision of transforming India into a
O
developed nation, powered by economic strength with value system
I am one of the citizens of the billion; Only the vision will ignite the billion souls.
It has entered into me ; The ignited soul compared to any resource is the most
S
powerful resource on the earth, above the earth and under the earth.
I will keep the lamp of knowledge burning to achieve the vision - Developed India
AS

If we work and sweat for the great vision with ignited minds, the transformation
leading to the birth of vibrant developed India will happen.
I pray to the Almighty: "May the divine peace with beauty enter into our people;
CL

Happiness and good health blossom in our bodies, minds and souls".

HOMEWORK EXPECTATIONS FROM PARENTS

Homework isn’t just an additional learning content but an effective strategy to test
learners’ comprehension of taught concepts. It encourages the discipline of practice
and time management skills in learners. As a futuristic school, we believe that
homework creates a communication network and allows a two-way learning
process.
We understand that parents play an equally important role in achieving the learning
goals. Mentioned below are a few expectations from the parent community to
benefit all the stakeholders in our goal of developing thoughtful and sensible
thinkers.

NE
● Establish a daily routine and stick to it.
● Provide materials/resources needed for your child to be organized at home.
● Provide a quiet place for your child to do homework.

O
● Check the ERP on a daily basis.
● Encourage your child to show his / her completed work.
● Follow your child’s progress regularly on parent connect.

F
● Support, clarify and motivate but do NOT do the homework for your child.
● Focus on the things your child does well.
O
● Let your child take a small homework break if needed.
● Help your child find information in books, newspapers and on the computer if
S
needed
AS

Guidelines for Homework Submission

● Open ERP, check Homework assignment tool

● Detailed day-wise home tasks/classwork is assigned in the
CL

student's class.
● An assignment is uploaded with a PDF of the respective subject.
● Adhere to the time and last date of submission and upload good
quality images or PDF files.
E
TH

26

● Students have to join the class through ERP, attendance will be marked
everyday after the first period , which will be counted as attendance of the
day.

NE
● In case, the student is absent an auto generated message will be sent to you
after the first period.
● If your child joins 10 minutes late, the child can certainly join class, however
attendance shall not be marked for that day or respective period.

Assessment and Evaluation

Examination Scheme (2023-24)

Assessment is the link between teaching and learning. As such assessment should
be part of every lesson that teachers plan, however at TCO1 it is a very interactive,
fun-based and activity-oriented engagement of our learners. The assessment
provides teachers with an opportunity to be an evaluator of their impact and can
guide the future instructions that students experience.

NE
At TCO1 we are more focused on the process involving the ongoing, frequent and
purposeful exchange of information between students and teachers on the basis of
“Assessments for Learning” along with evaluation of their performance and
achievements at the end of teaching as well.

O
We follow the guidelines of the new NEP Policy 2020 to optimize the learning and
development of all students in the cross-cultural classroom beyond boundaries.

Rewarding Excellence Criterion

Rewarding students for their effort and hard work is a great way to encourage students in
their studies and help teachers to encourage behaviours and attitudes we want to be
fostered in our classroom setting. TheClassOfOne has developed an appreciation routine
that recognises and commend students for their commitment to learning, demonstrating
outstanding behaviour and always striving to be the best that they can be. Students are
appreciated for their effort during the academic year for showing resilience and a dedicated
attitude to never give up! . Every Friday TheClassOfOne teachers appreciate attributes such
as good attitudes, honest work ethics, determination, helpfulness, and a love of learning to
build a sense of community and an environment conducive to learning.

NE
This also improves their chances of success as they progress through the educational
system and build a strong repo with teachers as well.

We recognise various routine efforts of our children on a weekly basis by publishing

appreciation certificates on ERP to students along with appreciation note to parents. Few of
