MANUAL GUIDE

INTERNATIONAL MULTIMEDIA ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY (I-MEET) COMPETITION 2020

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Participants are students of Diploma or Bachelor Degree of any major
2. Participants are active students in University (proof with student ID Card)
3. Participants sign up as individuals or groups for any competition categories
4. Participants can take part in more than one competition categories
5. Participants register through https://bit.ly/IMEETREG
REGISTRATION MECHANISM
1. Participants fill out the registration form on https://bit.ly/IMEETREG
2. Participants need to fill out valid email to receive important announcement.
3. Participants upload a proof of student ID Card or a student status letter which
contains the participant’s full name. The file should be readable in JPEG / JPG
/ PNG / PDF format.
4. If register as a team, participants upload all the member file as mention at 3rd
point. Our system can accept multiple uploads.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
1. All works submitted must be the original works of the participants.
2. All works submitted must not have been previously published in any media or
events.
3. All forms of fraud or criminal acts such as plagiarism, copyright infringement,
and others will cause participants to be disqualified.
4. The decisions of the judges and committee are final, and cannot be contested.
MINI GAME FOR DESKTOP

Requirements:

1. Participants are active students (Diploma or Bachelor Degree) in University.


2. Participants may be a team (max. 4 members) or individual.
3. The Game may be in 2D or 3D and it must be played offline.
4. Participants may use any kind of game engine.
5. No copyrighted material for the game assets (images, music, sound effect, etc)
may be used for this competition. Participants can use free assets for background
music and sound effect provided by eligible providers.
6. All game contents must be in English or it can include English subtitles.
7. The Game can run on any Operating System (Windows or OSX) and use minimum
800 x 600 pixels for resolution.
8. A document with technical requirements and installation description is mandatory
when submitting an executable game.
9. The Game must be controlled by a keyboard, or mouse, or both of them.
10. The Game content may not contain violence, pornography, racism, or
discrimination against certain parties.
11. Participants may use any kind of genre for the game.
12. The Game consists of at least 1 stage.
13. Participants are required to add HOW TO PLAY Menu on the Main Menu.

MINI GAME FOR MOBILE

Requirements:

1. Participants are active students (Diploma or Bachelor Degree) in University.


2. Participants may be a team (max. 4 members) or individual.
3. The Game may be in 2D or 3D and it must be played offline.
4. Participants may use any kind of game engine.
5. No copyrighted material for the game assets (images, music, sound effect, etc)
may be used for this competition. Participants can use free assets for background
music and sound effect provided by eligible providers.
6. All game contents must be in English or it can include English subtitles.
7. The output of the game must be in .apk file (android) or .app file (iOS) and it may
be in potrait or landscape orientations.
8. The Game must be controlled by virtual buttons, or accelerometer, or both of them.
9. The Game content may not contain violence, pornography, racism, or
discrimination against certain parties.
10. Participants may use any kind of genre for the game.
11. The Game consists of at least 1 stage.
12. Participants are required to add HOW TO PLAY Menu on the Main Menu.

AR/VR APPLICATION

Requirements:

1. Participants are active students (Diploma or Bachelor Degree) in University.


2. Participants may be a team (max. 4 members) or individual.
3. Participants may use any kind of AR / VR engine.
4. No copyrighted material for the assets (images, music, sound effect, etc) may be
used for this competition. Participants can use free assets for background music
and sound effect provided by eligible providers.
5. All contents must be in English or it can include English subtitles.
6. The output of the application must be in .apk file (android) or .app file (iOS) and it
may be in potrait or landscape orientations.
7. The Application content may not contain violence, pornography, racism, or
discrimination against certain parties.
8. Participants are required to add HOW TO USE Menu on the Main Menu.
9. For AR application, participants must include a marker file on the submission form
(if it using marker).

POSTER DESIGN AGAINST COVID-19

Requirements:

1. Participants are active students (Diploma or Bachelor Degree) in University.


2. Participants registered as individual.
3. No copyrighted material for the assets (vector images, photos, etc) may be used
for this competition.
4. All contents must be in English and follow the themes.
5. The content may not contain violence, pornography, racism, or discrimination
against certain parties.
6. Participants must include master file on the submission form (it may Adobe
Illustrator, Photoshop, or CorelDraw).
7. The Poster should come in the formats of jpg, png, or bmp and 18 x 24 in
(medium poster) in dimensions.
8. Participants must include font file on the submission form using archived file (.rar
or .zip).

GAMEPLAY DESIGN

Requirements:

1. Participants are active students (Diploma or Bachelor Degree) in University.


2. Participants may be a team (max. 4 members) or individual.
3. Participants may make the gameplay script into a storyline and storyboard.
4. No copyrighted material for the assets (vector images, photos, etc) may be used
for this competition.
5. All contents must be in English.
6. The content may not contain violence, pornography, racism, or discrimination
against certain parties.
7. Participants may use any kind of techniques to make the portfolio.
8. The storyboard format may be in JPEG or PNG with a minimum 300 dpi of
resolution.

INTERACTIVE GAME STORYTELLING DESIGN

Requirements:

1. Participants are active students (Diploma or Bachelor Degree) in University.


2. Participants may be a team (max. 4 members) or individual.
3. Participants may make the story script into a comic or picture story.
4. No copyrighted material for the assets (vector images, photos, etc) may be used
for this competition.
5. All contents must be in English.
6. The content may not contain violence, pornography, racism, or discrimination
against certain parties.
7. Participants may use any kind of techniques to make the portfolio.
8. Participants must include the description script on the submission form.
9. The portfolio format may be in JPEG or PNG with a minimum 300 dpi of resolution.

ANIMATION COMPETITION

Requirements:

1. Participants are active students (Diploma or Bachelor Degree) in University.


2. Participants may be a team (max. 4 members) or individual.
3. Participants may use any kind of animation maker application.
4. The animation may be in 2D or 3D content and it must be original.
5. There is no theme of animation restricted, but it fully recommended to raise the
theme of COVID-19.
6. No copyrighted material for the assets (vector images, photos, musics, etc) may
be used for this competition. Participants can use free assets for background
music and sound effect provided by eligible providers.
7. All animation contents must be in English or it can include English subtitles.
8. The content may not contain violence, pornography, racism, or discrimination
against certain parties.
9. The output should be in MP4 format with minimum 25 fps and minimum 800 x 600
pixels of resolution.
10. The minimum duration for the animation is 2 minutes and maximum duration is 6
minutes.

PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION

Requirements:

1. Participants are active students (Diploma or Bachelor Degree) in University.


2. Participants registered as individual.
3. There is a specific theme for this competition, which is Against COVID-19.
4. The content may not contain violence, pornography, racism, or discrimination
against certain parties.
5. Participants may submit maximum 5 photos on submission form.
6. All files should come in JPG, or BMP format and 1190 x 840 pixels in resolution
above 72 dpi with maximum 5MB in size per photo.

VIDEO COMPETITION

Requirements:

1. Participants are active students (Diploma or Bachelor Degree) in University.


2. Participants may be a team (max. 4 members) or individual.
3. Participants may use any kind of video editor application.
4. There is a specific theme for this competition, which is Against COVID-19, or about
multimedia technology.
5. No copyrighted material for the assets (vector images, photos, musics, etc) may
be used for this competition. Participants can use free assets for background
music and sound effect provided by eligible providers.
6. All contents must be in English or it can include English subtitles and it must be
original.
7. The content may not contain violence, pornography, racism, or discrimination
against certain parties.
8. The output should be in MP4 format with 25 fps of frame rate and use 16:9 for
aspect ratio.
9. The minimum duration for the video is 2 minutes and maximum duration for the
video is 10 minutes.
10. Committee will upload participants’ work during Review Time to committee’s
official youtube channel.
11. Participants may promotes their work on the committee’s official youtube channel
to get Likes from others. The number of Likes will be added as assessment
component.

BLOG COMPETITION

Requirements:

1. Participants are active students (Diploma or Bachelor Degree) in University.


2. Participants registered as individual.
3. There is a specific theme for this competition, which is Against COVID-19, or about
multimedia technology.
4. No copyrighted material for the assets (vector images, photos, musics, etc) may
be used for this competition. Participants can use free assets for background
music and sound effect provided by eligible providers.
5. All contents must be in English and it must be original.
6. The content may not contain violence, pornography, racism, or discrimination
against certain parties.
7. The articles consist of at least 500 words.
8. Participants must be follow committee’s instagram, @imeet_competition.
9. Participants may promotes their work by attach their article’s url on their instagram
to get Likes from others. The number of Likes will be added as assessment
component.
10. Participants must tag @imeet_competition and use hashtag
#imeetcompetition2020 and #imeetblogcompetition on their instagram.
11. Participants must submit the manuscript of articles on submission form.

ESSAY COMPETITION

Requirements:

1. Participants are active students (Diploma or Bachelor Degree) in University.


2. Participants registered as individual.
3. There is a specific theme for this competition, which is Against COVID-19, or about
multimedia technology.
4. The content may not contain violence, pornography, racism, or discrimination
against certain parties.
5. Essays must be in English and it must be original. It must be 700 words or less.
6. Participants must use essay template that provided by the committee
7. Participants may download the template at:

VLOG COMPETITION

Requirements:

1. Participants are active students (Diploma or Bachelor Degree) in University.


2. Participants may be a team (max. 4 members) or individual.
3. Participants may use any kind of video editor application.
4. There is a specific theme for this competition, which is Against COVID-19, or about
multimedia technology.
5. No copyrighted material for the assets (vector images, photos, musics, etc) may
be used for this competition. Participants can use free assets for background
music and sound effect provided by eligible providers.
6. All contents must be in English or it can include English subtitles and it must be
original.
7. The content may not contain violence, pornography, racism, prank, or
discrimination against certain parties.
8. The output should be in MP4 format.
9. The minimum duration for the video is 1 minute and maximum duration for the
video is 5 minutes.
10. Participants must be follow committee’s instagram, @imeet_competition.
11. Participants may promotes their work by attach their vlog on their instagram to get
Likes from others. The number of Likes will be added as assessment component.
12. Participants must tag @imeet_competition and use hashtag
#imeetcompetition2020 and #imeetvlogcompetition on their instagram.
13. Participants must submit their master video on submission form.
