General Objectives:
 To be oriented about the hospital’s policies and protocols.
 To know the different facilities and services in the hospital.
Specific Objectives:
 To know the basic terminologies and apparatus in the emergency
room.
 To identify various drugs and equipment in the emergency room
and discuss its usages and importance.
 To learn how to differentiate medical admission forms and tickets.

LEARNING FEEDBACK DIARY

On the first day of our duty, we had a quick orientation about the
hospital’s rules, regulations, mission, and vision. We learned about the
hospital’s quick history and board of members. Then, the clinical
instructors divided us into groups and toured us around the hospital’s
facilities and services. I was so glad to experience touring around the
hospital and learning new things.
After that, we had a short break time in preparation of our duty to
designated routes. We were assigned in the emergency room. Our
clinical instructor, Ma’am Rose, discussed and showed us various types
of admission forms and tickets. She explained us the purpose of each
paraphernalia. She pointed out things to consider when you are staying
in the ER. As we entered the ER, we saw a stuff performing an IV
infusion to an infant. We were thrilled and amazed how he managed to
insert the cannula in the infant’s vein. Our next patient was a woman
with a fractured hand. Some of us had the experience to perform taking
of vital signs. After a few reminders and rapport from our clinical
instructor, we finally departed at 11 pm.

General Objective:
 To follow specific protocols in the ER.
Specific Objectives:
 To learn how to calculate dosages in IV infusions.
 To get familiarize of various drugs and medication associated with
IV.
LEARNING FEEDBACK DIARY
On the second day of our duty, we immediately put on our
PPE(Personal Protective Equipment) to start our rounds. We stayed in
the ER’s operating room and had a discussion about dosage
calculations. Our clinical instructor gave us some problems and
scenarios to solve. Most of struggled and did not get the right dosage
calculations. But after a few exercises, we were able to solve and finally
figure out the right methods in solving. Then we were disrupted by a
sudden arrival of a patient. The patient was an old man who were
diagnosed with a chest pain, diabetes, and pneumonia. We were able
to witness how the nurses and rad tech students work hand in hand in
assessing and consulting the patient. After a few discussions, we were
finally dismissed by our CI and had our picture taking. Then we
departed at exactly 11 pm.
