Statement of the Problem

This study aims to determine the effects of police visibility on crime

prevention and control in Mabolo, Cebu City, Cebu.

Specifically, the researchers seek to find out the answer to the following

questions:

1. What is the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of;

1.1 Gender;

1.2 Age;

1.3 Social Status

2. What level of police presence is present in Mabolo, Cebu City?

3. What crimes do perpetrators usually commit?

4. What are the effects of police visibility on crime prevention and control in

terms of;

4.1. Crime rate

4.2. Establishment where people frequently visit.

4.3. Community

3. Is there a significant relationship between the profile of the respondents and the

effects of police visibility on crime prevention and control in Mabolo, Cebu City,

Cebu?
4. Based on the findings of the study, what suggestions can be implemented to

increase neighborhood safety?
