A JOB INTERVIEW FOR CABIN CREW

Interviewer: Welcome to Airblue Airline, I am Maham.

Interviewee: Hello, it's nice to meet you.

Interviewer: Nice to meet you too, how are you doing today?

Interviewee: I am doing well, and yourself?

Interviewer: Great, thanks. I hope we didn't keep you waiting for long?

Interviewee: No

Interviewer: That's good, shall we start?

Interviewee: Yeah, sure.

Interviewer: Why do you want to be a cabin crew?

Interviewee: I love meeting people, experiencing a different culture and places, enjoy
serving people, and feel satisfied if someone is happy with your service. I am very passionate
about flying and being a cabin crew is something that I have always wanted since young. I
am very professional.
Interviewer: How do you handle stress?

Interviewee: I did online research and I talked to my friend who is a cabin crew, I understand
that the nature of the job is a stressful one. Remain calm is advisable. As for personal stress I
listen to light music to relieve my stress.
Interviewer: What would you do if you are not successful this time?

Interviewee: Being a cabin crew is my ambition since young and I will do whatever it takes

to become one. I will analyze my mistakes (if I fail) during the interview and try to rectify or
improve on it. I will not give up and continue to apply until I am successful.
Interviewer: Why should we hire you?
Interviewee: I provide the highest level of service to the passengers leaving a good
impression on them. This way, more and more people will fly you’re your airline thus

2
increasing your revenue and profits. I also have first aid experience.
Interviewer: Why did you choose our airline and not others?

Interviewee: Being a cabin crew is my ambition and I do not mind working in any airline so

long I achieve it. I chose to apply to your airline because it is one of the best around the

region.

Interviewer: What is your strength?

Interviewee: I am a friendly person and I am willing to work hard. I love working in a team

and I am very patient.

Interviewer: If there is no more vegetarian meal, what would you do for a passenger that

insists on a veg meal?

Interviewee: I will not say no to a passenger immediately, I will try to check if there is any

crew meal or veg meals left in the premium section and I am more than willing to offer them.

Interviewer: Why do you think good grooming is important for a cabin crew?

Interviewee: Being a cabin crew is not just about serving passengers. You are a frontline
staff and by being presentable, you give a good image and impression to both yourself and to
the airline that employs you. No one would love someone who is messy to attend to them.
Besides, by looking good, you will be more confident about yourself.
Interviewer: Name 3 things a passenger expects from a cabin crew?

Interviewee: A passenger wants someone to be polite, courteous, friendly, and professionally

present on his/her request.

Interviewer: What do you see yourself 5 years from now?

Interviewee: In the time of 5 years, I see myself as a senior cabin crew and ready to move

and share my knowledge with a new crew. I will continue to learn and keep improving
because life is a continuous learning journey.
Interviewer: What do your parents/loved ones think about you becoming a cabin crew?
