In my dream classroom, I want it to be colorful and welcoming.

So I would

put my desk in the back so it’s out of the way. I also put the reading corner in the

front corner of the room because with the bookshelves we can make a little nook

for reading. For my seating I chose tables with flexible seating. I envision Velcro

name tags so we can switch up what table they get to sit at each week or every

few weeks. I chose to also have a shelf full of extra supplies like notebooks,

pencils, paper etc… For consistency in my classroom, I would have all my

important posters be the same color. For example, i would have my class safety,

class schedule and class expectations all in the same color (in my drawing they

are all red). I wanted to have a designated place for everyone to turn stuff in but

also have it be convenient to them as well. I decided to put the turn-in bin and the

class mail boxes on the same shelf together so the students had easy access to

both. I also liked the idea of having my whiteboard and smartboard right next to

each other because it is nice to use it during lessons, and for other activities. I

would also like alot of natural light in my room so i added a lot of windows. For

small group time i added a table with more chairs so we have a space for that.

Overall for my class i wanted to make it fun and personal to the students with

their birthdays and art projects also on the walls but also functional with the class

rug and storage/shelves.
