OUTSIDE HOUSE GETTING OUT OF CAR - NIGHT

AMELIA DAVIS, a dark haired almost 21 year old woman, gets

out of her blue SUV. She sees an old grey van in the drive
way while getting out. She looks at it curiously. She hits
her head very hard on the roof, because of the distraction.

AMELIA DAVIS
Ow! That hurt. Why am I always hitting
my head?

She angrily grabs her things, slams the car door and heads
inside. All the while rubbing her head with her other hand.

INT. INSIDE THE LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

Once inside she hangs her purse by the door. She sees her Dad
LOGAN DAVIS, a greying 51 year old man, and Mom LAURA DAVIS,
a fake red headed 52 year old woman, sitting by the T.V.

LOGAN DAVIS
What happened, what was with all the
shouting outside? Are you hurt?

AMELIA DAVIS
I hit my head on the top of my car and
I was cussing myself out. I have a big
knot there now. I'm gonna look like a
unicorn in the morning.

Logan looks at her concerned and chuckling while Laura just

glares.

LAURA DAVIS
Will you shut up so I can hear my show
seriously! I am trying to watch T.V.
Also your not made of glass move out
of the way.

Amelia moves from in front of the t.v. screen so she doesn't

get yelled at more than necessary.

AMELIA DAVIS
I'm leaving.

She puts her hands in a surrender type pose while continuing.

I just want to to take some Advil and

a muscle relaxer and go to bed.

LAURA DAVIS
Well then hurry up and stop talking.
Don't wake your brother either. He has
school in the morning.

INT. AMELIA'S BEDROOM - MORNING

Amelia wakes up to harsh purring on her chest and sees her 14

year old cat PURCY laying on her chest. She picks him up and
starts to get ready.

AMELIA DAVIS
Good morning my sweet boy.

Behind her on a wall we see a photo of young Amelia and

kitten Purcy with a family. As well as a photo a a roughly
seven year old Amelia and Purcy with again another family.

INT. KITCHEN - MORNING

Amelia enters the kitchen. She has a very confused look and
sees a cupcake with two candles showing 21. A calendar on the
wall behind the cupcake has the date circled and the words
"Amelia 21 B-Day" on it. The problem is she doesn't know who
lives in the other two bedrooms she passed on her way to the
kitchen. Purcy is moving around at her feet meowing.

AMELIA DAVIS
I must have hit my head really hard
last night buddy. I can't seem to
remember who lives with me. I must
have some type of short term amnesia
or something.

She moves to the fridge and sees that there is no food. She
feed Purcy his breakfast. She leaves a note on the counter
for whoever lives with her that she is going shopping for
some food. She munches on the cupcake as she heads to the
door. She grabs her purse that was hanging by the door and
heads out.

EXT. BY FRONT DOOR - MORNING

Once she is outside the front door she sees that the car
isn't there.

AMELIA DAVIS
I guess I'm taking a walk.

She rolls her eyes at this. She starts to walk towards town
and away from the house.

SERIES OF SHOTS - WALKING THROUGH TOWN - MORNING

Amelia is walking through the town slowly. Her head is on a

swivel trying to take in the sights and sounds.

A) Old grey van passes by

B) Sees a high school with their JROTC marching in the

parking lot

C) Walking in front of a Bowling Alley with school buses in

front of it Walking by a library with kids playing out front

D) Walking by a library with kids playing out front

E) Sees the geese in the pond at the park being chased by

dogs

EXT. JUST OUTSIDE STORE (ABOUT A BLOCK) - MORNING

Almost at the store Amelia is stopped by an early twenties

looking blonde guy who is calling out to her in the distance.
She gives an odd and confused look. She heads towards him any
way. At the same time the guy is jogging towards Amelia. They
meet in the middle. The guy has a bright smile on his face.
Amelia still looks confused.

AMELIA DAVIS
Hi, I'm sorry, but what's your name? I
can't seem to remember.

GUY
It's me Amelia, your Boyfriend. Evan
Johnson. What do you mean you don't
remember my name?

AMELIA DAVIS
I hit my head last night and can't
seem to remember anyone. I didn't even
know I had a boyfriend.

EVAN JOHNSON
Didn't even know you had a boyfriend.
You can't have hit you head that hard.
Here look I can show you pictures of
us from two years ago. You can't
forget me that easily.

Evan then pulls out his phone and shows Amelia a picture of
the two of them together. She starts to shake in nervousness.
She looks back and forth between Evan and the phone a few

times. She bolts it out of there.

EXT. OUTSIDE THE STORE - MORNING

She runs straight into the store without another glance.

INT. INSIDE THE STORE - MORNING

Inside the store she stops at the door a second breathing

heavily with her hands on her knees. She then starts to go
through the isles mumbling to herself about what just
happened. An older lady caring a bag of flour comes up to
her.

OLDER LADY
Hi sweet girl my name is Grace. Are
you okay? I noticed that you were
mumbling and wanted to check in.

AMELIA DAVIS
I hit my head last night and I can't
really remember anything. Have we met
before?

GRACE
No, we haven't.

AMELIA DAVIS
That's strange because you seem so
familiar.

GRACE
Maybe I remind you of your mom.

AMELIA DAVIS
No my mom's not this nice.

GRACE
Well I'm sure you'll figure it out and
that everything will be alright.
You'll remember soon enough. Your
gonna to be okay. All in due time.

With that Grace walks away, placing her bag of flour down on
a random shelf and leaves the store.

INT. CHECK-OUT LINE - AFTERNOON

Standing in the check-out line she sees Grace get into a grey
van.

Hi excuse me sir, but have you ever
seen the woman I was talking to
before?

CASHIER
Sorry miss, that was the first time
she has ever come into the store.

She quickly adds a pen and note pad to her check-out. She
finishes her check-out and leaves the the store.

SERIES OF SHOTS - HEADED HOME - AFTERNOON

Amelia starts to head back home.

A) Laughs at the dogs at the park being chased by the geese

B) Walking by a library with kids reading out front

C) Walking in front of a Bowling Alley with school buses in

EXT. OUTSIDE HIGH SCHOOL ON WAY HOME - AFTERNOON

She stops when she sees Grace talking to a boy who looks to
be a teenager. She is too far way to hear what they are
saying. She slowly starts to inch her way closer. She steps
on a branch that cracks and they stop talking and look over
at her. Grace gets in her car quickly and drives away.

EXT. STILL BY HIGH SCHOOL ON WAY HOME - AFTERNOON

She is about to leave as well, when the boy grabs her arm to
stop her. With a questioning look she lets him. Removing her
arm from his grasp she turns to face him.

AMELIA DAVIS
What's your name?

BOY
Mia it's me. Your brother! André. Are
you okay?

AMELIA DAVIS
No, I don't think I am.

Amelia starts to cry. André wraps her in a hug and starts to

rock.

ANDRÉ DAVIS
It's gonna be okay. Come on Mia, let
me walk you home.

AMELIA DAVIS
Don't you still have class?

ANDRÉ DAVIS
Nope. It's a half day today. So, come
on. You look like you could use a nap.

AMELIA DAVIS
You have no idea.

They smile at each other then start to walk back in the

direction of home.

EXT. WALKING AWAY FROM SCHOOL - AFTERNOON

Sometime on the way home she sees that André is walking

behind her. She slows down and over hears him on the phone.

ANDRÉ DAVIS
We are on our way home. It's
happening, just like you said it
would. No, I don't think she suspects
anything.

She whips her head in his direction.

Okay see you there.

EXT. STILL WALKING AWAY FROM SCHOOL - AFTERNOON

André puts his phone away and catches up with Amelia.

AMELIA DAVIS
What do you mean by "It's happening"?
Also what am I not supposed to be
suspecting?

ANDRÉ DAVIS
Crap you heard that. I mean I have no
idea what you're talking about.

With that André speeds up and ignores her. While she chases

AMELIA DAVIS
You can't walk that easily! André!
André! Come back here!

She continues to call after him almost running at this point

trying to get him to talk as well as catch up.

EXT. OUTSIDE HOUSE - AFTERNOON

They arrive outside the house.

AMELIA DAVIS
You can't out run me now. Will you
just tell me what you meant by "not
suspect anything." Please?

André looks like he is about to give in before turning and

heading inside. Amelia follows suit hot on his trails.

INT. LIVING ROOM WINDOW - AFTERNOON

Though once they enter the living room Amelia runs to the
window to look and see if Grace's car is there. An old grey
van is in the drive parked backwards. She takes out her pen
and paper again to see if the numbers match. She points the
pen at the paper and reads each number and letter one at a
time looking back up at the license plate of the van as she
does so. It's the same car. She doesn't see Grace anywhere
near it. She can't see inside. A blue SUV is parked in the
drive way as well.

INT. LIVING ROOM - AFTERNOON

When she turns back from the window she sees two people
eating.

LOGAN DAVIS
Hi, Amelia I'm Logan, your Dad and
sitting beside me is Laura, your Mom.
André called ahead and said you where
having trouble remembering people. Do
you want to tell us what's going on?

AMELIA DAVIS
So that's what he was on the phone
talking about.

She nods her head and rolls her eyes almost like a duh
moment.

Honestly though, I'm not sure. This

morning I wake up here in my room and
can't remember anyone who lives here.
I figure it must be some kind of
amnesia from hitting my head last
night, but now I'm just scared. I'm
tired. And I don't know what to do.

Amelia starts to cry slightly not full on crying. More silent

crying than anything. The tears just run down her face.

I met this woman named Grace do you

know her? She said everything will be
fine, but right now I'm not so sure. I
kept seeing her car everywhere I went.
It's in the driveway now. She was
talking to André when I ran into him
and I have no clue as to what is going
on.

LOGAN DAVIS
Why don't we google it and see if
there is any way to fix amnesia and go
from there. Huh, what do you think?

AMELIA DAVIS
That doesn't answer my questions about
Grace, but sure it doesn't hurt to try
right?

LOGAN DAVIS
I'm sorry sweetheart I don't know
anyone named Grace and I don't know
why André was talking to her did you
ask him?

AMELIA DAVIS
Of course I asked him. It was one of
the first things I asked. Seriously
André who is she?

Amelia looks around the room for André. He slipped out and
went to his room mid way through the conversation.

Amelia is seven with a kitten version of Purcy running around

her feet and she sees Grace.

Mrs. Grace do you know what's
happening? I don't know why I can't
remember anyone I am supposed to. I
don't even know who my Mommy is.

Amelia starts to cry with an unstoppable force while Grace

rubs her back soothingly

GRACE
I am sure it will come back to you
sweetheart. All in due time. All in
due time.

The next day she was given up for adoption and Purcy came
with her.

INT. LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

Amelia is 14 with an older Purcy being held in her arms and

she sees Grace.

anyone?

you soon sweetheart. All in due time.

That night she ran away grabbing her things and Purcy and
leaving finding a new family to take her in. She ends up with
the Davis's, but Laura looked offaly familiar.

INT. LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

Once they finish looking through the albums Amelia still

looks sad and confused.

AMELIA DAVIS
I'm sorry, but I still don't remember
anything or anyone.

LOGAN DAVIS
That's fine sweetheart maybe you just
need some sleep. Why don't you head to
your room?

AMELIA DAVIS
Okay.

Laura begins to get angry with Amelia and looks extremely

pissed off at this point. Looking slightly crazy.

LAURA DAVIS
Leave! Get out of my house now! There
is no point in having a daughter who
doesn't know her own mother. Go! Now!
You have one hour.

Amelia runs upstairs still crying from earlier.

AMELIA DAVIS
Fine but I know your not my real
family. I can't wait to get way from
here forever.

INT. LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

Logan looks at Laura like she's lost her mind.

LAURA DAVIS
What?

LOGAN DAVIS
Did you have to go all crazy on her.
Like common on. Also what did she mean

by "I know you not my real family"?

LAURA DAVIS
Maybe she noticed in some of the
pictures it looked like other families
were with her and she thinks she is
adopted. We have nothing to worry
about. The serum makes sure she can
never remember the people around her.
It's worked twice already, it will
work again.

With that Laura ends the conversation and goes back to

watching T.V. Logan though doesn't look so convinced.

INT. AMELIA'S BEDROOM - NIGHT

Angry and crying Amelia begins to shove things into a bunch

of suitcases. Purcy comes and she just cries before packing
his things as well.

LAURA DAVIS
Take the damn cat too!

She hears a door slam down stairs and she jumps. She puts him
in his carrier and takes everything down stairs.

EXT. BY THE CAB - NIGHT

She finishes packing everything into the cab that will take
her how ever far the money she was given will take her. She
grabs Purcy tight since he is all she has left.

AMELIA DAVIS
Hey buddy, thank you for being there
for me. I don't know what I would do
without you.

She gives Purcy a big hug through the carrier.

Sir could you maybe just start

driving. I want to get out of here as
soon as possible.

CAB DRIVER
Sure thing miss.

The car starts to drive off.

INT. BACK OF GREY VAN - NIGHT

Logan and Laura take off their wigs showing that Laura
actually is Grace. They watch as Amelia begins to leave town.

GRACE
The serum worked again. The girl is
moving on. Phase 3 complete time to
begin phase 4.

We see a cork board behind them showing photos of young

Amelia. First we see Age 0-7 Subject 001: Amelia Micheal,
given for adoption when memory is lost. Age 7-14 Subject 002:
Amelia Lock, runs away when memory is lost. Age 14-21 Subject
003: Amelia Davis, forced to leave and the only family to
know about the experiment. Age 21- Subject 004: Amelia
Reeves. The gray van begins to follow the cab before pulling
in front of it.

INT. IN CAB - NIGHT

Amelia sees the grey van pull out in front of the cab. She
remembers the pen and paper in her purse and pulls it our
looking at the license plate the same way as before. It's the
same van.

AMELIA DAVIS
Sir, can you follow that van for as
far as this money will take me.

CAB DRIVER
Sure, but may I ask why?

AMELIA DAVIS
It's time for me to get some answers.
Like they say everything comes to the
surface. All in due time.

The cab begins to follow the gray van. Amelia laughs a little
and whispers.

AMELIA DAVIS
Oh, how the tables have turned.
