RECYCLABLE WASTE MATERIALS AND PRODUCTS
I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, learners should be able to:
1. Define the word recycling.
2. Identify the products/ materials that can be recycled
3. Participate actively in group activity involving recyclable products and waste
materials

II. Subject Matter

a. Topic: Recyclable Waste Materials AND Products
Lesson: Identifies Recyclable Products/Waste Materials made of wood,
metal, paper, plastic, and others.
b. Materials: Slides presentation using Powerpoint presentation, Blackboard,chalk,
Illustration boards, Pictures, and Laptop.

III. Learning Procedure

A. Motivation: 4 PICS 1 WORD

Teacher will show pictures and learners will guess and answer orally.

The Learners will answer the questions orally: What other recyclable waste materials do
you know?

B. Activity
The Teacher will group the learners into four (4). Teacher will show pictures of
recycled products and using illustration board, learners will identify if its materials made
of wood, metal, paper, plastic, and others.

C. Analysis

Teacher will ask one representative each group to answer the given situation:
- Everyday, you go to school and you notice that there’s a lot of empty bottles
scattering around. You know the possible hazzard that it can bring to the humans and
environment. As a student of your age, what will you do to solve the problem?

What is recycling?
- Recycling is an excellent way of conserving energy and saving the environment.
Waste can be recycled and turned into new products. Here are some materials that
can be recycled:

1. Wood

E. Application
GROUP ACTIVITY: Teacher will group the Learners into four (4). They will classify the
recyclable materials in the box below whether they are made of wood, metal, paper,
glass and plastic. They will write the materials in their proper column and they will do it in
a clean sheet of paper. (Learner-centered Activity)

IV. Evaluation
Learners will identify what is being asked in each statement. (Classroom Assessment)
