Application Letter for Deck Cadet Apprenticeship

Dear Madam Janice Du,

I am writing to show interest in the Deck Cadet Apprenticeship Program that ADFIL Ship
manning & Management Corporation is now providing. This program offers me an amazing
opportunity to get priceless experience and advance my maritime sector abilities as a young,
ambitious person.
My three-year academic program at the Asian Institute of Maritime Studies is now complete. I
earned a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation there and graduated with honors. I have
always been attracted by the sea and the wide opportunities it offers. As a result, I have worked
toward a degree in marine transportation and finished the deck cadet training needed. I am
certain that the combination of my academic background and love for the maritime business
makes me a qualified candidate for the program.
Throughout my college journey, I have obtained theoretical knowledge and hands-on expertise
in various parts of deck operations, including navigation, seamanship, ship handling, and cargo
operations. I am excited to utilize and improve upon this knowledge in a professional setting,
under the supervision of seasoned industry experts.
I also have strong work ethics, honest communication skills, and a positive outlook. I am eager
to pick up new skills, take on new challenges, and adjust to various work settings. Additionally, I
pledge to observe safety standards, adhere to rules and protocols, and cooperate with other
crew members.
Being given the chance to work as a deck cadet apprentice with ADFIL Ship manning &
Management Corporation would be an honor. I am sure the program will give me a solid
foundation for a fruitful future in the maritime sector.
I appreciate you looking at my application. I want to hear from you as soon as possible.

Sincerely,
Charlie Gene O. Maquilan
