My problem: Organizational Commitment Among Nurses.

Introduction.

Why I chose this research topic.

Nurses are considered the heart of health care organizations and keeping nurses in the
organization remains a challenge for nurse administrators nowadays. I personally I haven’t
worked as a nurse, and I don’t have any experience but we own a hospital back home in
Ethiopia and I have seen how hard it’s to keep nurses in the organization if they are not
committed. Today no organization can perform effectively unless each employee is committed to
the organization's objectives and goals. I believe that committed employees in any organization
must possess three major characteristics: sense of belonging to the organization, sense of
excitement in the job and confidence in management leadership. From what I have seen in our
organization is that they luck most of this characteristics and I want to work on what are the
things that affecting the nurses not to have this 3 basic characteristics.

Problem I am interested to pursue with my research problem:

I am interested to know what is the main reason behind why nurses are not committed to
the organization and why are they lucking the basic characteristic and their tendency to leave the
organization.

My dyad partner’s research problem: How does online education affects student’s

learning abilities?
Factors I have identified with my dyad partner’s research problem that might help him

improve his research problem:

1. From what I have observed from his research topic I think he has to work on how he is

going to do this research like going through different kinds of literature

2. Based on what I have read I think he as to identify the population like is it a college

student or high school student

3. The problem contains a broad scope. He has to narrow it based on the private school or

public school of experience of the subjects.
