The tendency of most companies to show ONLY THE POSITIVE ASPECT of the
organization may result to high selection ratios, but may also increase employee
expectations, and eventually turnover rates when not successfully met
Hindi sinasabe ng HR kung toxic ba // dapat iinform yung mga applicants about sa
working hours, malayo pala yung office
Turnover rates - hahanap ka nlng ng ibang trabaho kung yung “good benefits” na
prinomise sayo, d mo naman nakukuha
HR FUNCTIONS
A. Attracting a quality Workforce - SELECTION
process of choosing from among the available applicants, the individuals who are
most likely to successfully perform the job
post-interview, Pipili yung HR kung sino sa tingin nila yung fit for the job (prolly kung
sino yung may experience / skill sa particular area)
Explain to the job applicant the available jobs and the requirements
Answer any questions the applicant has about the job or the company
Interview
but for maam, interview is to explain his side thoroughly/maiintindihan sia through
interview so dapat hindi ma miss
4. Follow-up Interview
Question 1: Self introduction- wag aabot ng 5 minutes (leave something that would keep
interviewer curious about you) - sabihin na den yung skills na natutunan mo from OJT (if
wala kang work experience)
4. Physical Examination
Normally required only for the individual who is offered the job THOUGH there are
cases that hindi ka pa hired, nagphphysical exam na tas mafufully hire lng kung
naipasa (eg Buntis pala)
purpose is not only to determine whether the applicant is fit for the job, but also to
determine his eligibility for group life, health, and disability insurance
