Municipal Business Analyst

Company: Applied GeoLogics


Location: Guelph, ON

The Municipal Business Analyst will work with our Municipal Clients across the country to review
their current Work and Asset Management processes within Engineering and Operations
departments. The successful candidate will then use their knowledge of engineering and
operations processes to guide the client in developing improved processes centred around our
modern digital work and asset management platform. The Analyst will then convey the
recommendations to the implementation team and elicit any further items as well as feedback
from the client to ensure a successful implementation.

Responsibilities:

● Work directly with Municipal staff through workshops and one-on-one to elicit current
work and asset management processes,
● Provide recommendations on future processes,
● Document findings in client presented documents utilizing tools such as Microsoft Word,
Excel and Visio,
● Present finding and recommendations to clients through workshops and presentations,
● Work with our implementation staff to turn recommendations into system configuration,
● Work with Municipal staff to review the implemented processes and act as the main point
of contact for feedback to the implementation team.

We are looking for:

● Excellent verbal and written communications skills,


● In-depth knowledge of municipal infrastructure, engineering and operations processes,
● Familiarity with asset and work management regulations and standards i.e. OSIM,
PACP, MACP, LACP, Clear Water Act, etc.
● Willingness to Travel, though alternative approaches are being utilized during the
COVID-19 pandemic, workshops are generally performed on-site at client locations for
periods up to a week at a time.
● Competency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Visio
● GIS Experience would be an additional asset to be able to analyze spatial data sets
provided by clients.
