    Assignment 4: Review and Analysis of National Pride Project or Other Projects of


    Prominence

    FULL MARKS: 20

    Deadline: April 21 2023 (! Marks will be reduced for delays)

    FIRST, CHOOSE YOUR PROJECT

    1. Choose one of the national pride projects (You can choose one from the Annex – see next page)
    OR
    Choose any important government or donor-supported project or programme on your own volition.
    2. Review and draw notes from available materials (and/or collect first-hand or practical information
    from those involved) and
    3. Review other literature and form your professional/informed opinion.

    THEN, REVIEW PROJECT PERFORMANCE AND OFFER RECOMMENDATIONS.

    4. Problem: What problems of beneficiary populations are being addressed by this project?
    5. Describe and explain the project’s main goal, objectives, plan and implementation features.
    6. Evaluate – how has it worked; what has worked; what did not work
    7. Results – Did it deliver intended results in time; how much was achieved; why
    8. What are main implementation challenges/bottlenecks faced by the project?
    9. Did the project’s management anticipate problems and resolve them – OR not? Why?
    10. RECOMMENDATION. How can the project be more successfully implemented in the future?
