Padma Bridge is a multipurpose road-rail bridge being constructed over the Padma River in Bangladesh.

It is one of the largest infrastructure projects in the country's history and is expected to significantly
improve transportation and communication in the southwestern region of Bangladesh. The bridge will
have a total length of 6.15 kilometers, with a four-lane highway on the top deck and a railway track on
the lower deck. The construction of the bridge began in 2014 and is expected to be completed by the
end of 2022. The project is being funded by the government of Bangladesh, with support from several
international development agencies, including the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. Once
completed, Padma Bridge is expected to boost economic growth, reduce poverty, and improve the
overall quality of life for the people of Bangladesh.
