ReadDays event introduction speech

Good evening and welcome everyone to tonight’s event.

I am Maddie Ulmer, the director of public relations for ReadDays.

We are thrilled to have all of you here. Before we begin, I would like to

share a little about ReadDays.

We are a Georgia-based organization, and our mission is to host

dinner and book-signing events for college students interested in

pursuing writing careers. At these events, we have had the privilege to

invite best-selling authors to speak about their careers.

We also partner with different service-based organizations to

donate the books that are brought by attendees.

With that being said, I would like to thank everyone for your

donations. These books will be directly donated to Wellspring Living, a

local Kennesaw organization. We will have a representative speak more

about their mission later tonight.

 I would like to thank Pisanos Pizzaria for catering this event and

Nothing Bundt Cakes for the delicious dessert. I would also like to thank

Kennesaw State University Student Affairs for having us tonight.

Thank you everyone again for your attendance. I have the pleasure

of introducing tonight’s guest, New York Times best-selling author,

Colleen Hoover to speak about her success as an author.
