Innaalillaahi wa innaa illaihi rojiuun,

CIDE NSW INC express our heartfelt condolences to all affected by yesterday's abhorrent terrorist attack in New
Zealand. We pray the victims are granted the highest levels of Paradise as martyrs.

This morning, the CIDE Board of Trustees together with the Imam of Masjid Al-Hijrah attended a meeting with
the NSW Police Commissioner and other senior representatives of NSW Police at the office of the Australian
National Imams Council (ANIC) in Chullora. Much positive feedback was received from the meeting.
NSW Police have informed that it is still safe for our congregations to attend our Mosques, however as a
precaution, Police will increase patrols around the vicinity of mosques for security purposes.

Last night, two Police officers visited Masjid Al-Hijrah in Tempe and encouraged to contact the local Police
directly or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000 to report any suspicious behaviour.

We encourage our members and congregation to avoid interacting with provocative social media forums. We
especially encourage our youth to be patient and to pray for the victims of the horrific attack, and not to act on
emotions of anger.

We encourage our members and congregation to avoid viewing and/or sharing video footage of the terrorist
attack on social media.

Let us all remain patient, and maintain a harmonious society, and pray for goodness and protection for the
Muslim communities.

May Allah grant ease and protection for the Indonesian Muslim community particularly, and the wider Muslim
community around the world.
