FBs-CMZBR ZigBee Communication Modules

FBs-CMZBR can link all RS-485 devices to proceed data transportation.

c. Functions：
FBs-CMZBR can be Master or Slave mode. These two modes must set
same PAN ID. In one space execute two sets of FBs-CMZBR can adjust
PAN ID to define two systems. When FBs-CMZBR as Master (radio
mode ) so within communication range all with same PAN ID can
receive data transmitted from Master. When FBs-CMZBR as Slave
must been paired with Master, so Slave receives data will then
transmit to the paired Master only.

 d. LED display：

i. Green light ： Slave wireless communicates.(Green light no matter

Master do or not communicated.)
ii. Green blinking：Slave doesn’t in communication.
iii. Red blinking：Data on transmitting.
iv. Red light：in mode of setting so can through terminating machine to
make setting.

2. Power on
a. Get device & PC cables plus in FBs-CMZBR and fasten screws. In case of
PC not support RS-485 then has to add a RS485 to RS232 converter so
can link to PC.

b. Get power cable plug in FBs-CMZBR and fasten screws then can power
on. FBs-CMZBR power on is in working mode, in case want to change
parameter then have to get in mode of setting.

c. FBs-CMZBR was defaulted as Master and can execute radio to do

transmitting. Green light when FBs-CMZBR power on. FBs-CMZBR will
radio received message to all other power-on FBs-CMZBR.

d. FBs-CMZBR’s baud rate is 19200 bps，8N1. If want to change then get

to in mode of setting.

 3. Setting mode
Users can get in Configuration module and through terminating machine
to change setting on FBs-CMZBR.

● get in setting mode

a. PC

i. power on PC terminating machine’s application program in route

of start/all program/sub-application program/communication/
terminating machine.

ii. key in link name and enter to get in setting screen.

 iii. pick up COM Port to get in screen of port setting and key in
following values.

Baud rate： 19200 bps

Parity： None
Data bits： 8
Stop bits： 1
Flow control： None

iv. press enter then can see the function list of terminating machine.

 b. FBs-CMZBR

i. power off
ii. press Config/Binding button and plug in power
iii. LED blinks then Red lights means getting in setting mode.

c. Firstly setting FBs-CMZBR then open terminating machine and press

space button, then can see above function list of terminating machine.

● FBs-CMZBR parameter setting(Terminating machine operates setting)

Configure Mode can set following items.
(A) Baud Rate Request

(B) Set Baud Rate : in range 300~57600.

(D) Set Destination MAC Address : Key in 16 digits(hexadecimal)

(F) Set Channel : 16 comm. channels option(11~26)

 (G) Local MAC Address Request

(H) Set Local MAC Address : Key in 16 digits(hexadecimal)

** Every local MAC has different address.

(N) Set PAN ID : Key in 4 digits(hexadecimal)

 (Z) Save & Exit

After (Z) , terminal machine turns to above screen then FBs-CMZBR finishs

mode setting(red off) and get back working mode.

4. Set pairing

FBs-CMZBR default mode Master can directly link other FBs-CMZBR for

radio communication. In need of setting Slave can pair to Master by

following methods.

a. Get in setting mode.

b. Set FBs-CMZBR Master & Slave at same channel and same PAN ID.
c. Set Slave’s destination address as Mater’s local MAC address,
then Slave will send data directly to Master only.

 5. Trouble shooting

In working mode and failed data transmitting, please check LED light.
