MINUTES OF THE FACULTY AND STAFF MEETING


March 14, 2023

The meeting started at 3:30 pm with an opening prayer led by sir Jarry Delfin Ganggangan, a PLSB teacher
from Taggay, followed by the PowerPoint presentation of the agenda by the school head, Sir Federico A. Samuel, Jr.

The presentation started with the evaluation of the conducted Intramurals 2023, it was noted that one of the
weaknesses of the event was that students were unprepared due to lack of practice of their particular game due to time
constraints but all in all the event was successful.
Next was the school head’s reiteration regarding on time submission of School Reports such as the DLL, it was
reminded that teachers were given a respective folder where they put and compile their DLL wherein it was agreed
upon that weekly DLL will be submitted every Monday. The school head also discussed on updates of the SRC, ESIP
and the Contingency Plan.
The third slide presentation was about the Updates on the PTA project in regards to the collection of the ₱150 per
student, Sir Rodante Duguiawe reported on the collection per section through the class adviser. Some teachers already
submitted what they have collected for the purchase of a chair with arm. The Taggay Extension teachers were also
reminded by the school head with regards to their PTA Project. Then the presentation proceeded about the Municipal
Meet preparation particularly to ensure that documents of every athletes were properly checked and should be
complete, Coaches identified to assist the students were Ma’am Angel, Jenalyn, Josie, Estelita and Sir Harold. After
which, The school head raised on clarifying the concern of Mr. Romel Ubiña regarding a (Volleyball) ball wherein the
latter is claiming that his personal ball was used by the school but Sir Rodney reiterated that the said ball was not used
during the just conducted Intrams but it was during the pandemic thus it was noted that this concern should be
clarified with the claimant person.
Lastly, the proposed activities to be conducted on the upcoming Foundation Day was presented by the school
head. The following agreements has been noted and approved by the school head and all faculty members who were
present in the meeting:
1. The date in celebrating the Foundation day was moved to March 30-31 due to a seminar that the school head
needs to attend it at Baguio from March 22-24 for he was one of the chosen school head by the Schools
Division of Kalinga.
2. DAY 1: Am activities
 The Committee on Parade were identified, The Chairman will be Harold Tagubat with his Co-
chairman Kristalyn Alcagno. The parade will start from the assembly of participants at the school
ground going to the boundary of Brgy. Sacpil and Malagnat then going back to the school.
 Opening Program will start with the Pagpupugay sa Watawat c/o the Glee Club (Kristalyn Alcagno),
Cordillera Hymn and Kalinga Hymn c/o Glee Club under the assistance of Sir Rodney including the
Doxology.
 Opening Remarks – School Head
 Brief History of MNHS will be presented by Ma’am Estelita Palaci
 Presentation of MNHS Staff, PTA Officers – School Head
 Presentation of SSG Officers – Sir Andes Lappay Jr.
 Ground Demonstrations/Mass Participation will per Grade Level to be presented on intervals.
 Message from the Barangay Captain of Malagnat Hon. Robert I. Lagayon.
 Message – Hon/ Irving B. Dasayon
 Presentation of Parents from Barangay Sacpil and Taggay
 Message of Hon. Danzel B. Langkit
 Introduction to the Keynote Speaker – c/o Sir Federico
 Message of the Keynote Speaker – Hon. Allen Jesse C. Mangaoang
Pm activities:
 Medical – Dental Mission (advisers were tasked to submit the list of students who will be having the
Dental services to Sir Rodney including circumcision in order for him to submit also to the
concerned authorities for the preparation of the needed Medical i.e. Medicines)
 Legal Services will be from the Provincial Capitol c/o ma’am Josie.
 Booth Display will be per grade level showcasing the learners’ specialization
 6 pm – Rabii ti Pammadayaw: Recognition of Teachers and Stakeholders

 Emcee 1st Day – Sir Harold & Ma’am Kristalyn

3. DAY 2
 It was suggested that a Walk For A Cause will be conducted in the morning hours of the day then
continuation of the Medical Mission till afternoon.
 At 3 pm, Search for Mr. & Miss Malagnat NHS 2023 will start with the following contested events:
1. School Uniform
2. Native Attire
3. Casual Wear
4. Sports Wear
5. Summer Wear
6. Formal Attire/Evening Gown
7. Q & A
 Environmental attire was removed from the contested events due to difficulty of preparation.
 MNHS Next Top Model will be presented during the Pageant in an interval manner.
 Production Number will be coached by Sir Jenjun as suggested by Sir Harold.
 Pictorials of candidates will be on March 19, 2023 at 1 pm. Talent Portion of the candidates will be
presented in a Pre-Pageant which was scheduled on March 26, 2023 at exactly 1:00 pm in a minimum
of 3 minutes and maximum of 5 minutes duration.
 The school head instructed Mam Alcagno to look for a pair of students to sing the Hand in Hand song
and also Mr. Kevin Amad was suggested by Sir Harold to be the Guest Performer during the Pageant.
 Sir Federico informed the teachers that Judges will come out from 1 room as they will be introduced
and called in the Pageant area to be assisted by ushers and usherettes c/o the School Head himself.

When the meeting was on-going, Sir Federico asked the faculty to come up with a Theme for the 5 th
Founding Anniversary using or giving Acronym to the letters of the School name which is MALAGNAT and
before the Meeting ended, Ma’am Lenor has come up with a Theme “Marvelous Awareness of Looking back
from the Aboriginal Geniality to its greater heights and Never ending Advancement through Team Spirits”.
The meeting was successful and ended at exactly 5:00 pm.
