Data Gathering Methods

The tool in gathering the data will be a researcher made test will be based on the learning

competencies in Mathematics after every lesson and pretest and posttest will be given before and

after the implementation. A good teacher made test should have both the traits of being reliable

and valid (Smith, 2021). The researcher will develop a test to gather data to answer the research

problems. It is composed of 25 items. The content validity of the test will be validated by a

panel of three school administrators and two master teachers and Education Program Supervisor

in Mathematics. They will be chosen as content validators because of their subject-matter

expertise. The content validity instrument will adopted from F.L. Meimban(2015). The objective

is to determine whether the item is specifically tailored for the current objectives of the study.

Moreover, the researcher will decide to some items in the original test should be retained,

omitted, rephrased, or included in the questionnaire during the final phase of validation.

The Cronbach Alpha Coefficient will be utilized to determine the reliability of the test. The test

will be pilot tested on May 20, 2023, with a small sample size of respondents who are not

involve in the actual research. A Cronbach’s alpha values will indicate that response values for

each validator across a set of questions are consistent. The scores will be tabulated using the

Cronbach Alpha test, which will produce a value coefficient alpha index of at least .70-0.90,

which will be interpreted as a high reliability test and is recommended as an instrument of the

study. After the intervention, posttest will be administered and gather the scores using a tally

sheet,
