Dear Friendly High School Family, Welcome back to the Friendly High School 2011-2012 school year. An extended welcome goes out to our new students. We look forward to you being a part of Friendlys academic family. I am excited to welcome you to a new school year. It is with great pleasure that I accept the honor to serve as your Principal. As your Principal, I would like to ensure you that my knowledge and skills will assist in continuing the journey of improving student achievement. Our goal of maximizing the achievement of all of our students will be met by utilizing our resources in a manner which is efficient and effective. Our increased emphasize on collaborative planning, effective use of student data and rigor will help to ensure that our students are College and Career Ready as identified by the College and Career Readiness Anchor Standards. I recognize that our schools reputation and success rest on the collaboration between our parents, students, staff members and parent organizations. Therefore, I am asking that you take an active roll in the success of our children and our school. In addition, I recommend that you reach out to our PTA in an effort to be a part of the many great things that will take place this year. In addition to preparing our students for College and Career Readiness, our focus will be on celebrating student achievement. Please know that instruction and the measurement of its effectiveness will be the most important task that occurs in our building. As professionals, we will always think and act in the best interest of children. This will be attained as we support the beliefs of our Superintendent, Dr. Williams Hite: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. High Student Achievement Highly Effective Teaching Safe and Supportive Schools Strong Parent and Community Partnerships Effective and Efficient Operations
