products for a customer base that disregard quality and only
focuses on the price is a classic example of marketing myopia.

When Does Marketing Myopia

Attack Any Company Or brand?
Marketing myopia strikes in when the short term
marketing goals are given more importance than the long
term goals.  Some examples are as follows.

 More focus on selling rather than building relationships with

the customers.
 Predicting growth without conducting proper research.
 Mass production without knowing the demand.
 Giving importance to just one aspect without focusing on
what customer actually wants.
For Example:
If any consumer goes to market and he wants to purchase a latest laptop
with good quality and specifications , the seller shows him many categories
of laptops just like HP core i5 6th generation and Toshiba Intel Pentium®
etc. and seller also shows the price tag of each laptop which is 38,000 but
the consumer choose the HP laptop because hp laptop provide better
quality in a good price tag where Toshiba laptop is of same price tag with
old specifications .

Conclusion:
As a result, Toshiba laptop brand strike in with marketing myopia because
they are only focusing on price and not providing new specifications in a
good price tag.
