Jasper Bootcamp

How Jasper thinks

Composing articles

1. You should be updating the content description box for each paragraph as you write.
a. Dit is de informatie die je wilt dat Jasper gebruikt als hij tekst gaat schrijven

Voorbeeld van content description box:

Write an article about how to stop the spread of Covid-19. Coronivirus disease (COVID-19) is an
infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronovirus. Most people infected with the COVID-
19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special
treatment.

Word prediction

1. Jasper is a writing assistant, and not a fact-checker.

2. Jasper uses past context to predict content moving forward one word at a time.
a. What you input to Jasper will greatly influence the output.

Patterns & Repeating

1. Jasper is looking for patterns in text so he knows what to compose.

2. By providing more instructions or a clearer pattern to follow, you can greatly increase the
chances of Jasper doing what you want.

If Jasper isn't writing the content that you want, ask yourself:

 What is the pattern Jasper is trying to follow right now?

 Can I give more instructions or set a better pattern to direct his outputs?
 Do I need to give Jasper more information as input in order for him to write what I'm looking
for?
How to use Templates

Composing articles

Whatever you input, will always impact your outputs. If you want Jarvis to get creative and make a
lot of stuff up, try inputting a few words or a short sentence. If you want Jarvis to really follow
directions and include key facts then you'll want to add a lot more detail into the input boxes.

Reminder: Everything you output is saved in the AI outputs section on the nav bar.

Additional options

Give content a thumbs up or thumbs down to rate the content.

How to use Documents

Composing

When you hit compose, Jasper will look for patterns, instructions and clues based on your previous
text to decide what to write next (see How Jasper Thinks).

You can influence Jasper’s writing by adding information to the input fields.

1. Title
Write the title of your blog post
a. 8 tips for a greaner lawn

2. Content description / brief

A short descrition of what you want Jasper to write about.
a. Write a blog post post entitled 8 tips for a greener lawn. It should include some tips
for homeowners in the united states. Write about St. Augustinegrass en Zoysia grass.

3. Tone of voice
Choose a tone of voice that fits with your blog audience
a. Scientific, funny, casual
b. https://help.jasper.ai/article/158-what-should-i-put-for-tone-of-voice

4. Keywords
Adding keywords makes it more likely that Jasper will include those the next time he
generates content, but it doesn’t guarantee it.
a. Lawn care

Jasper will base its output on these 4 sections. If you don’t update it, Jasper will repeat itself.

1. You can toggle the sections on or off so Jasper won’t include it while composing
2. Preferably, you continually update the sidebar inputs as Jasper writes the document.

Best practise

1. For each paragraph, input new information for Title, Content Description and Keyword.

Output length:

- S = 20 – 25 words
- M = 50 – 55 words
- L = 110 – 115 words
What Jasper can see
Jasper pulls in 2,000 - 3,000 characters above where you are writing plus the Title, Content
description, and Keywords (unless you have any of these toggled off).

Using the *** Shortcode

By placing 3 asterisks in your document content, you will prevent Jasper from seeing any text above
that point.

Before you start composing, take a look at the content above and ask yourself “Do I want Japser to
see this, or do I want to hide this from him and start working from the sidebar?”
